I feel like it would be more interesting if the hero powers could either be a better effect or a worse effect from the normal Mage: deal 2 or deal 1 randomly Warlokc: draw 1 or take 4 to draw one pally: Summon 2 silver hand or a disarmed silverhand (0/1) shaman: summon 2 basic totems or summon a broken totem (lasts one turn then self destruct) DK: summon 2 1/1 gouls with charge and dies at end of turn or a 1/1 ghoul with rush that doesn't leave a corpse DH: gain 2 attack or gain 1 attack but can't go face druid: 2/2 armor or choose one 1 armor or 1 attack hunter: 3 damage to enemy face or deal 2 to random enemy rogue: 2/2 weapon or 1/1 weapon priest: heal 4 or heal 2 to a random target on the board (friend or foe) Warrior: 4 armor or 1 armor
I actually had similar plans originally. My Warlock Hero Power was exactly what you presented here (assuming the 4 damage was also a 50% chance), but it was just very difficult to balance. Some of the Hero Powers just ended up being better than others (as is the case with your take). While the Hero Powers in the video may be rather boring, I think they are a more fair way of doing it since they are based off Hero Powers that already exist in the game and with the same downside.
Took me a second to figure out what you meant :P Yeah that would have been a pretty epic grouping, but I don't think I had this idea back then. Maybe by July 6th I had the idea, which would have been the same but by European standards. Oh well, next time!
This is really awesome, though I think the do nothing is likely to feel somewhat unfun. Maybe the Death Knight hero power should give a reborn ghoul instead of 2 atk as well?
Oh yeah, there's definitely a big "fun" risk involved with these, but I guess you could always go back and play the regular class if you're too unlucky. I like the suggestion for the DK Hero Power! If I revisit this video I'll make sure to have that changed! 😉
Gotta say 50% chance to do nothing with the hero powers seems quite annoying, would be a lot more fun if it could misfire such that it for instance hits another target
I agree that it could lead to some un-fun moments, especially if your luck is really bad, but I also think this is one of the more balanced ways of doing it. While hitting another target could be a fun change for some classes; for other classes it wouldn't work since their Hero Powers have no targets, so I would need to come up with different downsides for them, and thus this approach might be hard to balance.
Holy shit he did it. I love you❤
its him!
Love you too boo and thanks for the idea 😍
Ogres would be a pretty good as a minion tribe honestly, and the style of this video I kinda wanna see a DRAGON classes video now.
Evoker coming in 2027
Having this effect on a Gor Legendary minion or an anomaly would be quite entertaining
For the resr of the game your hero power cast twice (with 50% chance to do nothing)
I am suprised you only have 1k subs, you make such interesting videos and spend a lot of time on them. Good Job.

Mage: deal 2 or deal 1 randomly
Warlokc: draw 1 or take 4 to draw one
pally: Summon 2 silver hand or a disarmed silverhand (0/1)
shaman: summon 2 basic totems or summon a broken totem (lasts one turn then self destruct)
DK: summon 2 1/1 gouls with charge and dies at end of turn or a 1/1 ghoul with rush that doesn't leave a corpse
DH: gain 2 attack or gain 1 attack but can't go face
druid: 2/2 armor or choose one 1 armor or 1 attack
hunter: 3 damage to enemy face or deal 2 to random enemy
rogue: 2/2 weapon or 1/1 weapon
priest: heal 4 or heal 2 to a random target on the board (friend or foe)
Warrior: 4 armor or 1 armor

Could definitely see this as a start of game thing with one card (it being a ogre) having this effect and upgrading your hero power
If every classes have this option, then 1 button is enough instead of 9 .w.
🤔
b- but...
I guess...
😧
Ooooh will you make more subclasses? Like Worgen lol Or Pandaren? Loved the concept!
If there's an interest in the subject I was thinking of doing more subclasses, yeah! I was thinking maybe Murloc classes next :O
@@BlututhHS that sounds cool :)
missed opportunity to post this on June 7th

@BlututhHS I think it also might make the most sense as a start of game effect tbh
50% chance to NOT see you next time
That's still a 50% chance that you will! I'll take it!
could give the mage hero power a 50% chance to hit the wrong enemy and so on so it would feel more fair
Gotta say 50% chance to do nothing with the hero powers seems quite annoying, would be a lot more fun if it could misfire such that it for instance hits another target

You spelled Oger wrong in your title. Pretty common mistake
This video is totally ogerpowered
wait what the 50% to do what ?
50% chance to do nothing at all and just waste your mana 😮
Most Danish accent award goes to....
Gruuls are not Ogres :(
For some reason I've always associated them with ogres 😛 Probably because Gruul in WoW is a giant monster that enslaved a bunch of ogres.
