While I feel in my heart of hearts moved profoundly that your sweet and beautiful Family are endeavoring toward your new, ever unfolding journey in Life, I feel undeniably melancholic seeing the apartment that has immeasurably influenced my developing tastes become undone. I discovered your extraordinary channel only five months ago in late July. Seeing the glorious aesthetic that you so creatively cultivated, inspired me, a person faced with innumerable personal struggles and challenges, to push through the limitations of my Depression and health issues into a realm of decorating my recently acquired Home. I am so fortunate to Live in the Home I know God had meant for me to have and to own it, outright, with no mortgage as a still young woman. Buying my Home was the most special experience of my Life. Yet, I inhabited it for months without a strong vision for how I truly yearned for it to look. Shelby, your taste and your generosity in sharing it with us changed my Life. I also moved over the last 3 weeks and am so glad the moving part is over! I love my new home (and a new job). I totally relate to the packing. The unpacking is definitely the reward for all the hard work.

Creative with the Advent calendar and doing New York things before leaving. It amazes me that you still put up a Christmas tree even though you were going to be moving in 3 weeks. It was truly beautiful. This brought me to tears that you're leaving this very homey apartment. I am excited though to see how you are going to transform your new home.

Shelby, I loved the whole apartment, but my favorite areas were the elevated living room space where the table & chandelier were, and the corner of your bedroom with the french window panes and the fireplace mantle you put the little city under. Stylish & elegant, but somehow, also rustic and cozy! You do balance very well! I wish I had your eye, but I watch what you do & break down what makes it work, so I can create what works for my space & life. Your new home is absolutely gorgeous & I'm so excited for the memories your family will get to make, and seeing how you make it all come together. Love & blessings from an inspired NY renter! 😘💖💕💛

I have a large home in the suburbs in Nevada and all I want is to move to San Francisco when my step daughter graduates in two years - but I know if I do ever manage to make that move there will be things I will miss. But I’m tired of mowing lawns, being dependent on a car, etc. if I ever do get to move, then I will try to make it a beautiful transition, like you have ❤

Smart move ... win win for everyone to keep many things done. You worked/decotated, enjoyed and got to sale some items. Next person moves in and enjoys, but may need to work/remove items when leaving. Or, not ... just leave and becomes landlords new finished projects for years to come.
YES, that landlord knew keeping fridge, fireplace mantle(s), some shelves and curtains/drapes, wallpaper was in THEIR best interest ... EASILY.
