if you have ever worked for a delivery truck service, handled multiple boxes being shipped, processing through warehouses, loading docks, on conveyor belts, scooted around dirty floors.... you would never, ever, place that nasty box on top of your counter top. That box has so many germs on it, you just don't know.
Love the window over your sink and the chandelier over your island !! Those Cafe curtains will look so sweet !! You're so good at decorating and I love watching all you do !!

I have been making soft furnishings since the 80s and l would suggest the cafe curtain to have just one rail and one pair of curtains. Treat the window as one window rather than three. You could put put fabric on the inside of your glass cupboards.. Just fix curtain wire inside, top and bottom and use soft sheet fabric, cut to three times the width, to make it full enough. It would also fit in with
the current trend for cafe curtains! 😊🌺🇬🇧

The sky blue color in the kitchen is absolutely gorgeous... ( or is it minty??) I have a similar color in my office which makes the white woodwork pop. ❤

Hello, have you thought about shading the glass. Isn't there this stuff you can spray or put on that will make it foggy or a little see through? That would work for the one with the medicine. I love glass cabinets but only if they're not showing overly crowded with dishes. Personally, I feel I would want it to look pleasingly aesthetic or some pretty dishes or mugs. Love the curtains. Also, lights in the cabinets would look nice. Love the vintage setup where you have the spice jars. Can't wait to see what color you paint the kitchen.

The cafe curtains were a great idea and they will still allow light to come into the kitchen while providing privacy. You always seem to find just the perfect thing for your home. Are there other younger couples on your block to befriend? Once Brooks goes to preschool I'm sure you'll find like minded moms to hang out with. Spring is around the corner and I hope you'll be doing fun things in the garden too. The cabinets look very organized and pretty. What's your feeling about clear glass cabinets versus solid wood or frosted glass? I'll be redoing my kitchen in the near future and haven't decided exactly what i want. Weather warming up to 50's here in NYC and I'm hoping the snow last week was it for the season. Fingers crossed. Have a great week.
Most of the neighbors we have are older right now but the neighborhood seems like it may be turning over to a younger crowd soon.
We will definitely be doing things in the garden. We just planted a couple things and are waiting for them to sprout!

I would keep ALL of those glass cabinets open! Put the ugly stuff in your pantry. I have cabinets like those and love to display. I also have a kitchen window like that, only mine is even lower to the sink level. I have curtains like those but long ones. I am thinking of putting up a short curtain like that since my hub insists on splashing the window. I have my ugly black air fryer in the corner so it doesn't take up as much room visually. Love your taste!!!

Your house is stunning but I would change that island. It’s the only thing I didn’t like. Make it a square or rectangle with a nice counter top. Any angles in the kitchen looks dated. I’m a kitchen designer and angles are a pet peeve. You can make the island more modern, it’s ok to mix it up, it freshens up the trad style. Maybe get away from the quartz and do marble, quartzite, slate or wood.
Question.. Is it okay to have a brass curtain rod above a silver chrome faucet? I am wanting to do the same, but I wasn't sure if mixing metals in such close proximately is okay?
