The Yamcha scene was definitely not in the original 🤣

Dr wheelo actually does talk in the original I mean he is the main villian.
It's a bit unfair for the criticism of it "not being as funny as the last episodes". The callbacks, jokes and original animation they did for this one was brilliant. You guys really should have reacted to the series in the order it was released - this came out over two years before the last few episodes. And it's arguably the best effort they put into the abridged movies since it rated as one of their favourites when they did their movie/special list.

This was made way after the saiyan saga, so idk what they are talking about when they say this was low level comedy because "it was made during the saiyan saga"
I think they mean the ORIGINAL version of this. Cause TFS did abridge world strongest once, waaaaaaay back in the dy, and it's since been replaced with this higher quality one that is completely different the original.
Its because they missed a lot of the jokes while they were talking

Imagine critizising an episode you slept through. If one of the Guys is that tired, just don’t have them on the episode because it detracts from it

@@wisewolftony If they're reacting to something they need to watch and listen to said something. They can't do that if they talk over the jokes that they are meant to react to. That is why there is a discussion segment after the episode where they can discuss and talk about the episode.

okay, you guys really need to watch DragonBall. seriously consider it after DBZA, it's where everything started. the Kamehameha, the Power Pole, Nimbus, etc. as for what happened to her, to basically sum up Toriyama's reasoning for this: "I forgot."
they showed her once in DBZA, but in the Saiyan Saga, she appeared multiple times. she never really showed up again after, until like, the very end as a trucker. (for those who don't remember, it's during the final Spirit Bomb when Goku gathers energy. go back and look for yourself, she's there.)
Dr.Wheelo in the original was evil. just kind of the generic "Evil Scientist who's evil because he's smart." character. they fought him out in space and destroyed him, if i recall. TFS flipped the script and said "Hey. what if he just was a scientist who wanted a body?" and they rolled with it.
I understand that people are more likely to check this out with the regular set of people but the guy on the right was barely awake. Maybe you should've waited for a better time.

TH-cam Algorithm fact: Having subscribers that DON'T watch a certain percentage of your videos can cause the algorithm to bury your videos under the assumption that you as a creator don't create videos that always resonate with your viewership. So asking people to subscribe when you upload a lot of different content and most will watch just the series they are interested (pwoplw who don't like anime vs people who will only watch the most popular shows) could hurt over the long run. Definitely something you want to look into as having subscribers isn't what it used to be in TH-cam (one million was reserved for the biggest channels and now it's a milestone that a lot of successful channels will inevitably attain) and you could hurt your channels visibility. Something to consider.

I absolutely love this DBZA movie, especially with what they did with Dr.Wheelo, I can't wait to watch their reaction to DBZA: The revenge of Cooler.
Having finished the series, this is hands down my favorite abridged movie and possibly even my favorite episode, if you pay attention to all the jokes ;)

Yep. Also, a tape that gave you 8 hours on EP was 2 hours and 40 minutes on SP mode since it was an extended/maximum length tape. A normal standard tape gave you 2 hours on SP and 6 on EP, as well as 4 hours on LP(while later VCR’s could play a tape in LP/Long Play mode, most stopped recording in LP by the mid 80’s. In early VCR’s, before they created EP mode, LP was the first mode offered to squeeze more then the standard 2 hours out of a VHS tape, but was retired once EP mode was introduced). Ah memories. 🤔😊 Our family decided to only rent a cottage for 1 week instead of 2 weeks way back in 1985 so we could spend the difference on our first VCR(was almost $600 with taxes), and was completely worth it.

These guys OBVIOUSLY didn't watch the real World's Strongest or watch it very well, because Dr. Wheelo definitely had a voice. He had THREE English voice actors, one French one, one German one, the original Japanese one, and even an Israeli one. All for international versions of the movie.
Dead Zone, World Strongest, Tree of might. I remember my parents borught a vhs collector edition that had the three films for my older brother and i for christmas. I had the chance of seeing these before they aired on toonami. It was interesting because the vhs tapes we had were the ocean dub. Toonami would air the funimation. I remember i had seen these films during the original toonami run of the saiyan saga, so i had no idea what and wasnt cannon. Out of all of the original z movies, i think these are the tightest. Some of my favorite DBZ animation.
To this day World's Strongest is still my favorite Dragon Ball movie and think that the definitive version is the ocean dub because they left the Japanese soundtrack intact and added additional sound effects for the kai blasts and martial arts scenes which it think gives it a much bigger impact. I love the ocean dub sound direction for this movie especially when goku charges and fires the kaioken ×3 kahemeha against Dr. Wheelo and when Goku charges the spirit bomb.

The VHS talk reminded me of when I was a kid, and had recorded something I really wanted, then a long time later, I asked my dad if it's possible to tape things in front of something that is already on it, and he said yes (thinking I just meant tape over) and I lost it all lol. It was very sad for me.
I just realized Dr. Wheelo’s realization that he could’ve used one of the Bio-warrior’s bodies only happened because Freezer’s crotch was displayed on the screen.
So Dr. Wheelo’s inner monologue must’ve been like, “why didn’t Katchin give me one of their bodies, surely they must have a penis, I’m looking right at one!”

Yeah in terms of release date, but if you would fit them chronologically, Cooler and 13 are after this and Slug, because Goku doesn't go super saiyan in this or Slug

Shit i fucking recorded the Danny Phantom movie on VHS when that came out because I had a family event to go to when It came out. Luckily I had a VCR that I would plug my xbox into to get my video and audio into my t.v at the time and my mother used to record a lot on VHS and had extra blank VHS...I just spent 2 minutes thinking it started with a C (which I assumed was the same tech you'd use for 8 tracks but apparently auto correct does not know what the absolute fuck i'm talking about so) I used to do the same thing. And as a guess I'm between 5-10 years younger than...I've not watched enough of any of their channel to know their names but...the guy who mentioned recording on VHS first.

I don’t think Goku has ever found Bulma attractive. Like, sure he was curious about her lady parts, but I don’t think he like... ever saw her as hot. I mean:.. he’s not ignorant to the idea of attraction. Because he stays on Bulma’s top about her saggy breast and wrinkles. Like... it’s the reason why she plans to wish to get moderately younger. Because of Goku and Jocko calling her out about her age. I mean... she’s gotta be pushing 50 at this point. Because Goku is past 40, though he’s like 35 physically from being dead so much.
Actually in super Goku is around 37, so Bulma should be 40-41, something like that.
At the end of Z in the other hand she is pretty much around 47-48.
