- U.S. Marine Corps Landing Attack Subsequent Operations Team (LASO) advise Belize Defense Force Soldiers on various Infantry Tactics at Camp Fair-weather, Punta Gorda, from June 9, 2014 to July 10, 2014. The LASO team is part of Southern Partnership Station 14, a combined joint exercise focused on subject matter expert exchanges with partner nations and security forces as well as military to military engagements and community relations projects in Central America

Looking at battle record of USMC vs Army Airborne, shows the opposite actually. Actions speak louder than words. USMC has fought literally all over the world, in all climates, under all conditions. Airborne operations have been extremely limited compared to USMC operations. Airborne is extremely good at their specialty operations. But if you need a unit to go into an unknown situation, where nothing can be planned because nothing is known for certain, then it is always the USMC sent in. "Expeditionary" is the USMC specialty: rapidly move in, take control, and make order out of chaos.

There are many marine type armed forces in the world, saying one is better than the other is mere guess work. I personally would bet my money on navy seals, SAS type of forces, one on one they're superior, but fit for a totally different style of operation.

Don't believe the propaganda, think for yourself, read up on the history. It's all very shaky. The international court to date isn't convinced by the Guatemalan claim. And please don't say it's zionist, western, american or whatever else kind of propaganda when it doesn't suit your point of view. If Guatamala can make it stick, done deal, if not, things will remain as they are and people have to get on with their lives (in peace).
