- I didn't have a whole lot of time this week, but I really wanted to make a video for you. So I set my timer for 2 hours and started painting with very little idea where I was going. I hope you enjoy it!!

I'm painting on a 12x16in canvas board, but you can use any size/shape/type of canvas or paper that you like. You can paint it black with black paint or gesso. Whatever works for you. I used black gesso. amzn.to/3It5ijy

This was sooooo amazing! I love the way you paint doors. You have this way of using light to make the darkness of the doorway look deep and alive, if that makes sense.

I'm wondering if you ever wet your brush before putting it in the paint? Thank you Jane, I have missed you...I'm very new to painting and trying to get up the nerve to try a few of your videos. I watched you a couple of years ago and became frustrated with my canvas. Finally I would walk away for a day or two and come back and say that's not tooooo bad, lol I'm grateful for you sharing your time, knowledge and talent...Love and hugs!!!

I'm not Jane, but you absolutely don't have to be good at drawing to be good at painting. It helps, but not necessary. I suck at drawing, like really bad. But I paint rather well with instruction and practice.

Brushes are discontinued as far as I know. Vince said there's no plans for more videos so it sounds like she's taking a break from everything.
