  • Back in New Zealand, a flood has opened up long covered ground, giving me access to one of the rarest agate types in the region.

Love your finds. We have nothing this exciting in the Manawatu where I am, and every time you say somethings not worth keeping and drop it I’m like nooooo!! It’s so cool! Lol.

Hahaha sorry! Lol I have been well trained by my wife to only bring home the best pieces otherwise there wouldn't be place to walk in the house

I'm only 7:30 in and just blown away, that was the perfect cross cut for that agate. They really stand out from the sand and those jasper's are amazing. Thanks for sharing

Yeah it takes a while to get your eye in, especially when they are few and far between sometimes. But when you see them they just jump out at you :-)

Hi, just popped over from Mamlambo's channel to give you a "like" and "subscribe"--very nice find there, love the colors. Even the more subtle gray/white banded pieces are nicer than anything we have in my area. Kudos!

Thanks very much! The grey bandy bits are the most common here, and usually all kinda look the same. Still fun finding them though

Can you share what equipment you use to cut and polish the agates you find?
