In this video, we are showing you how to set up your blade in the blade holder. This holder can be used for the felt tip pen as well - for drawing and plotting purposes -but since we are in the apparel decorating industry, we will mostly stick to the blade as this is what we use to cut vinyl.
First turn the little black knob on the moving head directly on the cutter. You can turn it t either Loosen or tighten the grip of the little plastic holder. Loosen it enough to drop in your black and blue blade holder, blue side down. Once it is in the holder, put the plastic holder clip (that you just loosened) over the little rim of the black and blue blade holder.
Make sure it is secure and tighten the little knob to secure the holder in place. If this step is not done correctly it won’t hold the blade and will not cut correctly. If you decide to use the left tip add on, use the same securing mechanism to hold the felt attachment securely as well.
Remember your normal wear and tear will be with your blade and with the strip that the blade cuts on. Both are easy to replace when the time comes.
