    Great video! I just did an unboxing/first impression video on the wood-fired version. I believe this is the best valued pizza oven under the $250 price range. Not many videos out there on it yet.

      Agree! I am hoping to get a Grande to do several pizzas at once and also use it as an oven. For 100ish bucks you can’t beat the Gusto. Love that thing! Got my stone to 900° on that one.

    Hi. I notice the hopper or the top door handle bumps into the one with the wood pellets so I thought I should change it to the black knob but cannot figure out where you got that from? Did you buy it separately mine didn’t come with that. Also can I use black knob when using wood pellets? Thank you. Great video

    • @UkuleleJayBBQ
      @UkuleleJayBBQ  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Bo, everything was in a bag in the box. For wood pellets you definitely want the little black knob. Did you keep the bag with the extras? It might be hiding in there?

    Hi there, i just followed your video to assemble and i cant get my oven to stay lit. A flame starts but once i release the ignition to turn the knob past high the flame just goes out. Any idea why?

    • @UkuleleJayBBQ
      @UkuleleJayBBQ  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Jenny once you start the flame, while holding the knob in, turn the knob counter clockwise all the way and it will go to full open. Hold for about 5 seconds after that and let go of the pressure and it will stay on. Just making more dough right now. Let me know how it goes and thanks for subscribing! I really appreciate that and hope we can build a Pizzello community!

      @@UkuleleJayBBQ Thank you so much. My Wife just purchased one for me for my 66 Birthday it will be delivered Saturday from Pizzzello. I am so excited. I have been making Pizza on a pizza baking steel and this is going to bring it up to the next level. Love you videos👍💕

      @@Ecohen52784 thank you so much and happy birthday! You will love it. The pizza stone is fantastic. Do not use full gas as it get’s CRAZY HOT😎. I usually put the gas indicator pointing to the brass hose connector or a little lower. That will get a perfect 600-650 on the stone. Unless you do Neapolitan dough you don’t need higher. Leave on 30 min before the cook and the stone will be fully heated all the way through. Let me know how it goes!

    Will it burn/warm correctly without the chimney? Half tempted to leave it off.

    • @UkuleleJayBBQ
      @UkuleleJayBBQ  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I have never used it off as I would think you would have hot vapors and/or any smoking not evacuating correctly and I am not sure what it would do to the flame coming out of the burners.

    So do I need to do a burn off before cooking my 1st pizza?

      Yes I would suggest that.

    Have you preferred gas or wood? I didn’t realize it was either or. Mine just arrived today. I’ve watched videos on using both.

    • @UkuleleJayBBQ
      @UkuleleJayBBQ  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi there. You definitely get a bit more flavor using wood pellets (according to my wife who is the pizza queen) but it's subtle as the pizza is only in for maybe 1.5 or 2 minutes max. The thing I like about gas is you can keep going for hours and make pizzas for many people without having to worry about refilling pellets. The nice thing about pellets is if you take this to the beach, mountains, etc, you can take a small 5lb bag of pellets with you and not have to worry about lugging around a 30lb propane tank full of propane. I think they are both fantastic. The gas pushes the oven past 700ºF and the pellets were around 650ºF during my tests. It's nice to have one oven that does both options. Let me know what you think, love to hear others experiences.

    I just picked up an unused one of these from local classifieds. I read something about removing a baffle when using gas. What does that mean? Taking out the insulation plate?

    • @UkuleleJayBBQ
      @UkuleleJayBBQ  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There is a steel plate inside that is a a partition between the gas burners and the pizza stone. Mine is in and never take it out. Not sure why you would remove that as it sends heat across the oven as well.

    • @Pdubbcooking
      @Pdubbcooking ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@UkuleleJayBBQ I’m not sure why people on Amazon reviews suggest it either. Maybe some baffles didn’t have holes?

    • @UkuleleJayBBQ
      @UkuleleJayBBQ  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Pdubbcooking hmmm no they all have slots. I still am not sure why you would take it out. I’m getting 700F which I like 665-700 and no issues. I wouldn’t want the flames on the crust, that would be a certain fast burn. I’m turning my pizza in 30-40 seconds and done in 65-90 seconds with my home made 70% hydration dough
