Probably the nicest example of a brick oven build that I’ve seen, would be nice a a series of videos to explain the process. Nicer outcome than most professional kits!
Check for the youtuber "The Melbourne Fire Brick Company". The man has blessed the world with free professional how to design a pizza oven from dead scratch, the guy is an engineer and he makes the firebricks, refectory motor and the plans of building the oven. He also provides a complete kit of different ovens if you don't feel like buying the parts. His TH-cam channel and website has a complete long videos of how to precisely build the oven and even explains the theory of why and what is being done as building the oven. I'm building mine from his videos.
Yes, he has lots of videos and i have built a few of his ovens which are OK, but I'm not a fan as there are much simplify and better ways of constructing a brick oven. Which gives better performance and much more enjoyment in the building process and longevity for the oven.
I like this build, encourages me to do the dome. Did you notice the buckets of water and sponges? He cleaned the outside of the structure as well as smoothing out the stucco finish. That's what I liked the most. No residue traces.
I think that the water is to wet the bricks before applying. Those fire bricks are like sponges, and if you don't wet the bricks first, they will soak up all the moisture from the mortar, and make for a weak bond. I keep my fire bricks in a bucket of water before installing.
Most likely a sand dome. Build a plywood platform inside the oven first. Then stack wet sand into a dome shape. Then lay the bricks onto the sand dome. Once dry, then remove the plywood and the sand from inside.
i saw in other video that a yoga ball is used inside the dome to support the bricks in place in a perfect round shape, then the ball is disinflated once everything is dry.
They are Insulating fire bricks, not ceramic fiber board. Fiber board is not structural and will deteriorate and compress from the weight and the weather. Insulation fire bricks are very light and strong, also weather proof.
really nice oven can you describe what the last white coating you put on it? I am building one and ready to put the fiberglass on and am not sure what to put on after the chicken wire. Thanks
Beautiful design work. Have you made plans for your wood oven construction. The type of bricks used. I spotted at least four of them with the sole of the oven. Can you provide me your plans and BOM? Thanks for the job et video. Kind regards
Me caen mal estos videos q no ponen información q material es y cantidades , esta bien en cámara rápida pero mínimo letras de información , con que pego los ladrillos? No se puede usar mezcla normal, para q hacen videos si los dejan incompletos
@@renehernandez558 Thermal conductivity. Clay bricks are more conductive than ceramic fibre. The more insulation your pizza oven has, the better it will work.
The insulation is absolutely necessary. There are several reason to use it. First, it provides insulation between the firebricks used inside and the exterior to keep the exterior from reaching temperatures that would decrease the lifespan of the covering as well as keep the exterior cooler to the touch. 2nd, it does provide additional insulation for the interior that helps keep the temperatures regulated. It provides a buffer so that the interior will heat evenly and maintain an even heat throughout the entire oven which in turns reduces the amount of fuel needed. So Shaban is correct in his comment.

this is the quickest brick oven build i ever seen,,,very nice .
I could tell that he has done this lots of times, the craftsmanship is superb, the smoothness of the dome is top notched 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻😍😍
facts
Thank you i do enjoy building brick ovens
Superb brickwork. What a craftsman!

Cleaning as you go is much easier and make the whole build easier, sponging the render takes all the trowel make out.

We need part two!
can you clarify what the last smooth material you put on the oven? nice job. Thanks Rodd
Beautiful and a good job but please put the calculation for everything as note
The oven looks great but there isn't enough information to help us try to build something similar.
You can see when an idea was born on paper first!
Masterpiece!!! Could You write dimensions?
I am building my second one and have just finished the fire brick part. Ready for fiberglass and then chicken wire. Stuck after that. Thanks
Beautiful oven...
Sen gerçek bir ustasın 👍tebrikler
Thank you
At 11:18 the video skips to showing the dome suddenly having a white material that wasn't there a moment ago. How did it get there?
explanation here I guess ;) th-cam.com/video/VQg7pClPob8/w-d-xo.html
Sorry we had issues with the camera lost a lot of footage.
sorry about that lost more that half the video to corrupt files very disappointed
which is the insulation under the fireclay fireplace?Ytong?
How many bricks and what size did you use?
Gran trabajo me puedes informar las medidas de los ladrillos y cuantos usaste
Gracias
me too
For all info you can visit www.fieldfurnace.com.au/
Did you cut all the stones by yourself, or did you buy a kit including the different shapes?
i sell the the material
Bravo very good job
11:20???what do you put insidie to finish work?!

at first i would do as you say but for a long time i have used fiberglass insert for easy removal and not a grain of sand is used.
the ball can be used but there is a shape you are aiming for which the ball doesn't achieve
hello sir, I would have liked to know what material did you use to finish the dome? thank you.
Dense brick on the inside, bio-soluble fiber blanket on the outside then good coating of render
Wanderful
What is the bottom brick material composition type? How much did it cost and how long did it take to make it? How long does it take to reach 900F?
base in made up of 2 layers, first an insulation brick to stop the transfer of heat. Second a dense firebrick to absorb the heat and cook the food on.
Muito bom Deus abençoe
good work and skill ,,but why not using a stagger brick?????????????
All the dome bricks are taper in 2 direction and is built from 9 different shapes
Lord of the bricks !

Класс!!!!! Только на 11 минуте выход для дыма на трубе сместился на 90 градусов 😁
You are correct i notice the wind direction and change it to suit.
nice brickwork, only downside is he did not put shards of glass topped with rock salt before laying the fire bricks...this way heat will be lost...
Very good job 👍👍👏👏👏
Ótimo trabalho, parabéns.
Obrigada
Complimenti
What's side inside oven ?
Is it possible to get a drawing?
What is that white brick on the base?
You did not show ...how to install support for the upper bricks installation ...?
Its a flexible fiberglass dome held in place with a car jack, easily removed after brickwork is finished
Süper 👍👏👏🙋🏻♂️bravo 🌟 🌟🌟
Donde se consigue el material?
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Good job!
Hi...the white material under the cooktop, what is it?
They are Insulating fire bricks, not ceramic fiber board. Fiber board is not structural and will deteriorate and compress from the weight and the weather. Insulation fire bricks are very light and strong, also weather proof.
What is the white cloth you use to insulate the oven
Bio soluble fiber blanket
Super!
Thank you! Cheers!
👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
really nice oven can you describe what the last white coating you put on it? I am building one and ready to put the fiberglass on and am not sure what to put on after the chicken wire. Thanks
Why it is not sticking to concrete foundation? base is floating. ???
insulation bricks under fire bricks to keep the heat longer....
Bravissimo !!!
Ggod job!!!!!
Thank you
Please can you help me to build my oven i would like if you help me whit plans. Thank you

How many bricks?
If you make It with that pivot It Will be too much High in the center...in my video I made It different
the oven is 1mtr internal and 480mm high, cooks every thing well from pizza, bread , meat and cookies. The door height is more critical.
Can you describe all used materials ?

Really nice brick oven. But the amount of OCD you have made me anxious watching this 😂
Por qué le pone espuma plast debajo ? Eso agarra fuego !!! Que peligro.
All the materials are not combustible, the oven after heat is still over 100 degrees Celsius on the third day.
lindo!
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👋

What type of mortar did you use on the bricks
It's called refractory cement. If you Google it, you will find the product and recipes.
that is a general term but will provide types used, for more info visit for info visit www.fieldfurnace.com.au/

next video please..
Some audio and a second video would be nice. Btw, you make it look too damn easy! Great job!

Is that insulation really necessary, seems like the brick is soo thick that will that cloth do, smh more work if you ask me.lol
It extends the cooking time / lowers wood use. But strictly speaking it isn't needed.
with out the insulation you will keep on burning more wood to keep it hot for the cock
shaban helal that’s a myth. How can that thin piece of fabric more insulating than the 9 inch brick ?
