Pink Floyd's lyrics are like the pill you have to swallow. Pink Floyd's music is like the sip of water that allows you to swallow this pill. Then once swallowed, you feel wonderful in your body.
A song about getting older. I am now 70 years old. And I think back a lot. The grass used to be greener. Pink Floyd isn't just music, it's also an experience.
I’m 66 and been following PinkFloyd for over 50 years. No other band like them. I practically listen to just them. Their songs never fade away. Listen to 5 am, or And then, from the album Rattle that Lock by David Gilmour
@@paulwilson2651 same with me, I listen to all sort of music and song by various artist, even classical music. But I have to hear at least one track from PinkFloyd every single day.
@@paulwilson2651 I done one gig with Hugh Cornwell, but the promoter sent the wrong info to the printers. Hence Glasgow was covered in posters advertising Hugh Cornwall!
I'm a 56 year-old fan, I've been listening to them since I was 11. Their music draws out the poison that might otherwise consume me. It's nice to see how it captures the youth of today as well, showing how timeless Pink Floyd can be... and if you haven't already, check out "Great Gig in the Sky", but the original studio version first, from Dark Side of the Moon. It's simply the absolute best version of it there is, the live versions are good copies, but they don't approach the brilliance of the original. Clare Torry, the vocalist, did it on the second take, and it was all improvised.
You should do the live version in the 94 Pulse concert. That way you can see David Gilmour playing the lap steel guitar for the guitar solo at the end of this song!
FILMED just outside Ely, Cambridgeshire - i drove to work one morning and saw this weird scene in a farmers field... i remember thinking at that time _ that looks exactly like a pink Floyd video being made.... and it was!
From an Aussie who has loved PF since I was 15 (am now 63) that is a wonderful story and I am so jealous!! I love that you recognised it, that is so cool! Best wishes to you from another Floyd fan from the other side of the world. I still need to listen to them nearly every day, it’s food for my soul.
If you react to any other Pink Floyd tunes, check to see if there is a PULSE concert version. It was a legendary concert, and uniformly excellent throughout. Floydicus Pinkus’s studio albums are incredible, and worth listening to. But PULSE was REALLY good.
Pink Floyd are one of the best band in the history of the Music. High Hopes is the masterpiece of their production and My favourite song. I've heard it thousand of times and still every time is an incredible feeling ❤❤❤
I work with a Floyd tribute band called MacFloyd (We're Scottish) and one time a lady was upset that it wasn't a Fleetwood Mac/Floyd tribute. I was howling!

True that. 51 here, have much to learn, but PF is always my backbone in music. One minute listen to a 70th song then to a 90th song. Still magical.

I was pretty heartbroken when they told us The Division Bell would be their final album.

React to: pink floyd - one of these days (pulse 1994)
Quite rare to see David with acoustic guitar.... beautiful song!
Thanks💕💕
Well he plays acoustic, then he swaps it for a pedal steel guitar for the second half of the song. Both are amazing.
Seeing your emotions makes me feel that we are all humans. I felt exactly like you😊
I saw this Tour in '94, it was awesome!
Big Heart ❤❤❤. Thank You !!!
