A free alterative to FBT using a free app called Visio. It can be used on most smart phones (Android and iPhone) #vrchat #furries #fullbodytracking #turorial
One thing that I will note here that you forgot to mention, probably applies to both standalones and pcvrs, you need to turn on OSC in your vrc hand menu to connect to Viso.
The App is using your phones camera for the tracking. So you need to position the phone in such a way that it sees your full body. If the tracking fails or is extremely laggy / buggy check your lighting in the room. Dark rooms or weirdly coloured objects could influence the quality.
You definitely want it to be able to capture your full body at where you'll be standing. you can verify by looking at the tracking skeleton on your screen.
So it needs to send the body tracking data to your computer through the Wi-Fi. In order to communicate with your computer it needs to know it’s address. If you own a printer in your home, it’s doing the same thing. It’s totally safe, your IPv4 is for your local address, not your public IP.
You want to give it your local IP address, not your public. Your local IP address doesn't reveal anything. But, ANY app that uses the Internet can see your IP and even if you're using a VPN there're a million other ways for companies to fingerprint you.
dude your videos are so helpful. you deserve more subs
Oh that's nice of you to say :) Hopefully some day! Until then Ill keep chugging along
Cute little otter
thank you c:

This was one of my quickest subs! Thank you for showing me this possibility. Whatever your other content is, you deserve more viewers ^^
No way! thank you c: I might make a video about using an old xbox 360 kinect too
@@Dr.Trapezoid Awesome! I don't have an old kinect, but that's probably a bit more accurate than with just the phone camera, right?
@@danield1303 I’d say it’s more better for sure. But it does not compare to HTC or slime. Those are probably the best out there

Yes! Very true. Thank you for leaving that note! Super helpful
Sweet! I gotta try this out!
Let me know how it goes! It’s pretty neat
i try that viso on quest but my tracker is really weird and broke i will give a chance to try viso on vrchat without getting an issue
I just payed $600 for 4 3.0 trackers ;(
Those will be so much better tho. Like you’ll be able to dance and stuff with those. I play to get some myself soon :) were they the vive ones?
I’m actually hosting a little rave this Saturday if your interested and wanna test out your new trackers?
@@Dr.Trapezoidi wont be able to do that :(

@@ArcticArua no worries :)
Do you need to put the phone anywhere in particular or just connect the app?.

Any recommended distance or direction for the phone camera?

Are you sure this app is safe? What does a body tracking app need with my IPv4?

Thanks for your reply! Google told me people could get into my router if they had that data, so I had to check.

And then you have free yiff dlc! I mean... uwu
What a stinker c;
No u @@Dr.Trapezoid!
I gave it a try and no matter what I do it won’t calibrate correctly and I tried everything Viso said to try 😭
I’m not sure what the issue would be :( do you see white dots move around when you move in the calibration?
@@Dr.Trapezoid yes and I have the lines but they don’t line up right.
Will it work if open vr chat with steam link?
I’m not sure :/ I don’t have a steam link so I have not messed with it. Give it a try tho!
@@Dr.Trapezoid just tried and it works!! Just have to do a lot of auto calibrate
Does this work for quest alone
Actually yes. There is an option in the app for that
why does it need your IP address? (someone already asked this and got an answer, so i get it now)
Yes lol
"For free... all you need is a cell phone. Which I don't have so it woudn't be free."
Okay bud
Smart phones are less than 1/10 the price of a FBT setup... And you get a smart phone out of it too which is a huge economic advantage anyways
this app aint on iphone lmao
It is. You can find the link here. apps.apple.com/us/app/viso-fbt/id6445987497
