I heard they were hoping to have the combination of trackers and standable work in the future, which i think would be the best thing. It would be nice to use just 2-3 IMU trackers and the rest being estimated. Cheapest and least invasive solution while still being plenty good at tracking.
i've been using standable forr.... about 3 months? and it's been so cool being able to use ovr advanced settings playspace movement and _actually_ phase through walls n stuff. really does add to the immersion and it was a really good purchase for the time being while i save up for some slimes or something xD
as someone who is a huge vrchat fan and a huge fan of vr in generel i love seeing this, its a inexpensive way of having a good ammount of tracking, and while it may not be full body tracking, i'd say for 20 dollar's its WAY more then worth it, no camera's, no need to wait for shipping for the thing even, and a simple set-up, just perfect for people who want to see if they would truly want full body tracking or not
Btw personally for me it works much better then in this video, probably its because author locked head instead of both, it should be locked both and author probably didn't set floor level right, its really tricky and working strange, for some reason its works better if floor will be a bit higher and you need time to understand how standable works and which it can handle, in that case you will walk in that way so standable will recognize your movement better, its absolutely comfort and natural, plus in september should be released new version of standable, which will have much cooler features (its not an ad, i just really liked standable)
this is awesome! i was worried about how i would achive fbt (without trackers or cameras) while wearing long skirts/dresses and this answers all of my questions! its amazing how there are so many options for everyone!
if they made it possible to use a phone or a webcam to do camera tracking on top of having FBE I feel like that could fix most of the issues that camera tracking has, and could possibly be on par to actual trackers. not sure if it would work, I see standable as some sort of black magic but just putting in my input

I watched a video about the Pico4 trackers. They are not body trackers and as far as I understand, there are only a few applications where you can use them. They are not expensive and for that it might be interesting to get them... if they would work with PCVR as well.
@@Ro11erDemon The trackers of the Pico4 only register the movement of your legs by the knees. Ful body tracking are often 4 to 5 devices, tracking arm, legs and head. They are more precise, but also a lot more expensive.
I don't want trackers, but what I do want is to be able to move my arms without the elbows suddenly snapping backwards. I might need to grab this, since it may fix this issue.
MINOR nitpick but could I ask you to switch up the background music in your videos every once in a while? That one song in the beginning of your videos is getting a bit grating to listen to over and over again. Love your videos, all other things aside. I just thought I'd bring it up. I think they should just improve full body estimation for every game instead of making pseudo fake tracking part. I do prone a lot in Pavlov and people keep asking me if I had full body tracking or not. The answer is always no, but this mean Pavlov full body estimation look better than normal.

less than a minute in and your already saying things that just aren't true. The quest 3 Cameras can estimate Full Body Tracking, and it does the upper body extremely well, using Virtual Desktop to help simulate Vive Trackers.

slimeVR developers say that you need 5 IMU trackers minimum for their method to work, idk if just having 2-3 would be enough
Come back and check their new update, not only is the base software much more suitable, but combining standable with trackers is now possible!

currently, only issues ive had are mostly vrchat issues and quest issues
