She borrowed money, knowing she couldn't pay it back. She should have just asked for money and not lied.
I really love Judge Funmi, she's a very compassionate person and is always fair, but she should be encouraging this people to consider sending their kids to public schools. Instead of acquiring debt or not letting the kids stay home because of lack of money. I used to teach in Public school in Lagos, its not as bad as people feared. There are competent teachers though there's large population of students but its better for low income earners.
Public schools in lagos is not as it use to be. Public schools in Nigeria is under funded so things are terrible. I went to a public school years back and I must tell you Public school a very terrible option for children.
Women in Nigeria cannot afford more than two children or else this is what will happen

Having more children is a big problem among poor people. It eventually becomes a burden for the entire community. If you are owing money, you can't say you don't know how to pay back. Just say you will find work to do to start paying.

The defendant didn’t look too happy about getting help with employment much less using her earnings to repay the loan. She looked like a scam artist at the end. Don’t loan what you can’t afford to lose.

Look, all of the women are having to answer for having children that they are not able to properly take care of. Is the man and husbands not responsible for his children? They can't control themselves sexually and financially. After their fun, the poor mothers are struggling with the children. When the children are educated and turn out nicely, they want to get credit, respect, and enjoy equally the benefits the children provide. 🤔 Does that make sense? Is that an appropriate way for things to happen?
