I have an interesting thought about this video and a previous one that you had done about a year ago titled "Why Obi Wan terrified Count Dooku during their final fight" or close to that. So this video implies that Dooku knew of Obi Wans mastery of Soresu and hence one of the biggest factors Dooku knew he would beat Grevious. Also in your other video you'd mentioned that the reason Dooku was terrified of Obi Wan was because of his shocking mastery of Soresu and for other reasons too but the key thing I'm pointing out is when did Dooku know of Obi Wans mastery of Soresu or am I missing something?
I believe the discrepancy comes from the information being from two separate sources. The source that has Dooku surprised by Kenobi's mastery of Soresu is mostly likely the novelisation of Revenge of the Sith. It's an excellent story, and was written based off the script as George Lucas wrote it. The line that Dooku is shocked by Kenobi's mastery of Soresu is put in there because in the book, Anakin and Obi Wan change their fighting styles in a moment and Dooku goes from fairly handily winning to on the back foot. He's forced to knock Obi Wan unconscious so he can focus on Anakin alone. The decision being made in the book is to make Anakin and Obi Wan seem more competent and more in sync (which supports the story the novel is telling), while making Dooku's sudden weariness and feeling like an old man more prominent. It plays up Dooku's desire to let Obi Wan live and makes his death seem more engaging as a story beat. I don't know specifically which source has Dooku pointing out Kenobi's mastery of Soresu to Grievous, but I suspect the reasoning may have been to showcase Dooku's awareness of Grievous' flaws. Perfect Jedi killer though Grievous is, there is a reason why he is not Sith material, and it isn't just that he isn't as powerful as them or that he can't use the Force. The Sith are cowards in that they will run screaming towards death, in effect letting it control them, and Grievous is a coward in that he will run away from his own death if he can. The Sith are at least in their own minds schemers, whereas Grievous is a cockroach. Essentially, the difference is down to the fact that it's two sources trying to tell two different stories. If you're writing about Dooku's arrogance as a Sith lord, you probably use the first, and if you're writing about Grievous' weakness you probably use the second.
Odd that Kenobi wasn't held in much regard from Grevious even though Kenobi proved to be Grevious's ARCH rival, for the most part, the Cyborg noting how his Master repeatedly defeating Kenobi or fighting him to a draw is 1 thing. no, just plot armor to continue to use grievous as he was good at selling "episodes" and "merchandise". After Dooku's death the separatists had no one battle able, so we got more grievous and plot armor.
No offense, but in terms of lightsaber skill in Obi Wan's duel of Grievous on Utapau, Grievous had Obi Wan disarmed and the finale of the fight ended in Obi Wan pulling a blaster to him with the Force. The fact that Obi Wan had to resort to using a blaster to defeat an enemy that pretty much had him defeated, is a low blow for the Master of Defense. Therefore, I can only say that Dooku's prediction was not as spot on if he were to find out how Grievous lost to Obi Wan. All in all, I think if Obi Wan hadn't went for the gun and did his little trick he used on Darth Maul, but to the extent that Grievous was actually given a swift death, I would be more understanding of Dooku's prediction.
Obi-wan disarmed Grievous without too much effort, cutting 2 out of his 4 hands and forcing him to flee. At that moment the duel was over and what followed was not a duel but a chase.
@lordkfc1297 not only that but he also pulled apart the chest plate, exposing grevious's vital organs, which shows that obi wan already had planned to use what ever method he could on order to stop the general

no, just plot armor to continue to use grievous as he was good at selling "episodes" and "merchandise". After Dooku's death the separatists had no one battle able, so we got more grievous and plot armor.
It seems too many people underestimated obi wan! !So uncivilized
But, what if the council had sent Windu to take out Grievous instead of Kenobi? Would Obi-Wan have gone to arrest Palpatine? I do not think so.
The pride before the fall.
@@lordkfc1297 exactly!
@lordkfc1297 not only that but he also pulled apart the chest plate, exposing grevious's vital organs, which shows that obi wan already had planned to use what ever method he could on order to stop the general
@@hgtrftfr which he did. in such an uncivilized way as he puts it; still very effective Master Kenobi
Interesting take with Obi Wan not even having his lightsaber by the end of the fight....
To give an idea of the general's strength Palpatine didn't want Anakin anywhere near Grievous.
Imagine grievous & skywalker just turned sith. Going at it that would've been great. Lowkey Lucas should done Ana with lighting. Be fair Rots is like week span everything going on. Before 66 🤷♂️
General Grievous was dangerous combatan in the clone wars. Which is why most Jedi feared him for his unpredictable lightsaber skills. And the only Jedi Grievous couldn't kill was Obi Wan Kenobi.
guess you're forgetting windu, don't know why... plus he never faced anakin either nor the small green goblin
WWWW Amazing bro
#TDBank🌎💘💰
Grievous was almost destroyed by Master Windu with one force crush. Amateur!
Obi Wan was the best Jedi of his age.
Obi-Wan Kenobi, the best of the best…
In canon dooku is an irredeemable monster way more evil than sidious
Evidently
Let’s go ✌️
NNNNNNOOOOOOO
Day 486 of asking for a part 3 of what if anakin was trained by qui gon
😅
Kenobi was so masterful in lightsaber combat that he defeated Grievous with a blaster
Obi wan is far from weak
Bcuz hello there
im the 600 liker😁
Because Obi whooped him on several occasions through the “Clone Wars”. All he had to do was corner the cyborg sociopath so he could not run.
Hello there!
All the lightsaber talk is a little ironic because Obi-Wan kills Grievous with a blaster shot. Regardless, love the video!
