it's usually finns who stand back in rows and don't move at all during concerts. i'm almost certain this is a crowd from other parts of Europe that came to see them.
he was friends with omar since jon left and originally was going to join before thomas. i wouldnt call deantoni a replacement hes totally different than jon but i wish they developed more songs with him. some of the omar solo stuff with him is wild
@@雌わ雄 Thomas Pridgen is a fantastic drummer, but I felt like he lacked the dynamics and restraint that certain TMV songs needed. It was just full blast non-stop.
@4:21 this is why i can't stand parks . i could never understand how professional drummers can't play theodores parts right. none of them could do it or even attempted to do it right.
He’s not playing it wrong, he’s playing it his own way. Knowing how much of an iron grip Omar has on Mars Volta’s sound, if he wanted Parks to just mimic Theodore then he would have.
+Goctagon You mean Deantoni Parks? Guy makes time his bitch! Watch any of the ORLG vids I'm sure you'll change your mind. You are right that JT TP are gods in their own right though.
Incorrect. Of all their drummers the 3 you mentioned are the best. Of course Jon Theodore was probably the best fit and sauciest of them all, though Deantoni Parks is fucking incredible too. Apparently you never saw the ORL-troubador show with all the black and white vids on youtube? um, ya, cuz if you had seen 'em you wouldn't be talkin' like that. And of all songs to make that comment on? He plays inertiatic fucking perfect dude. like are you even listening dude? he played that with such intensity and fucking spot on. Thomas Pridgen doesn't even play inertiatic as good as Deantoni does.
Out of all the live vids I’ve: Cedric’s voice is beyond on point in this performance. I’m completely blown away.
i can't believe that Ikey is not playing keyboards with them anymore. he was an integral part of their sound.
He died dude
@@jamesm1567 He died in 2014. This is from 2011, and his comment is from 2012.

Sad
Astonishing vocal acrobatics!
I’m so used to seeing Deantoni Parks play drums with one arm that I forget he’s an actual beast of a drummer.
La mejor interpretación en vivo que pudieron dar de esta canción en toda su historia.
Es una obra maestra, toda una belleza!
Finnaly some people who acctualy like to hear them. Other live videos are people jist standing who dont know what is happening. Love Finn's !!!
it's usually finns who stand back in rows and don't move at all during concerts. i'm almost certain this is a crowd from other parts of Europe that came to see them.
Goodness i love this song
2:21 that Cedric´s movement though
Cedric is such a beast
I was there. One of the greatest concerts I ever saw.
Damn, D really kills it. Absolutely one of the GOAT drummers
He's a phemom for sure. Him, Jon, and Blake are my top 3 drummers de volta.
It's definitely got a great new flavor to it, especially with Deantoni, but I still miss Ikey as the organist. But, whatever, still pretty bitchin'.
against all odds, cedric sounds great here
Ese intro es magestuoso!
*majestuoso
Son et lumiere
I'm gonna try singing this one
Good luck mate. Gliding back and forth between B4 and D5 isn’t for the faint of heart.
Never seen Cedric's hair this short before. Thought it was someone else on the thumbnail, said wtf!?
Kevin Simmerman he had it pretty short at some point in early at the drive-in too..
That 7/4 groove!
He’s actually doing the vocals pretty well
He should do. They’re his vocals.
He should've sang with this approach live, by 2012/2013 he was really struggling
Just landed here accidentally. Initially thought Geddy Lee had dropped in to sing....
Deantoni is a fucking machine.
Love his drumming.
I’d hate to have the crowd clap out of time like that
Cedric sounds good here
Is this gum?) Sedric sings with the gum?)
Sad to hear they are calling it quits. They were simply put, the best hard rock band of the last ten years.
Tool? Queens of The Stone Age? Mastodon?
@@MEATFACEFILMS I like those bands but Volta just knocks them out of the park sonically and creatively
@@MEATFACEFILMS Tool would be the only band i comprehend you compare to tmv
Tool sucks
@@andrepereira744 you suck. Both are great
claps on one warning
Forget ATDI. Go back to the Volta dudes.
They said they would, at some point.
they're reforming
Bring back Jon while their at it
They are back
WOW

@@雌わ雄 that is correct. I believe he even filled in for a few nights before Blake took over. Him, Jon, and Blake were all great with TMV.
Where is the Afro???
Why didn't I know?
I'm guessing their last concert was the last one from Nocturniquet tour. I wonder where and when?
***** I found out it was at London, 15.07.2012. Shit, same city I live in and I missed it.

SorcererBernitz que onda papu ;v
100% nailed it.
@Mark Wright Even when they were young they couldn't...
@@beto1580 Well. What is it lacking you feel?
Their latest drummer was awful compared to the godly talent of Jon Theodore and Thomas Pridgen.
