- I use the Sony ECM-XM1 on my Sony cameras, and it is the best shotgun microphone I've used for any run-and-gun scenarios. I purchased the mic holder on eBay and created my own bracket for it.

I wonder if something has been improved in terms of sound recording, because apparently it was poor here. I also wonder about the issue of losing an unsaved shot when the battery dies.
You showed great batteries. I wonder how many of these you have in stock when going on a shoot.

I also like your solution with focus pulling. Of course, I understand that it takes practice, but you don't get blurry shots by self-focusing in this way?

Thank you! Unfortunately I don't have the F6 to compare with however I do have the S6 and the audio has been improved significantly from the other flagship cameras. Please check my videos here called Ranch and Bloom Guam, all shot with the F6-Pro. The V99 will last me about 3-4 hours of shooting, remember that the F6-Pro is also powering the included monitor. For focusing, the focus assist in the included monitor is amazing, I can pull focus fast and precise with it plus this PD Movie will last me all day. I'm trying to find more time to film so yes, more in the future. Appreciate the sub!

Where can you purchase the cage for the F6 pro? Anyone got one in the UK or Ireland?
This is a sick build! Any chance you might be able to provide a review video of the F6 Pro? I've been really interested in this camera, particularly the functionality of the new screen, but there is very little out there in terms of reviews and testing. Also no rental houses seem to have it, so I can't test it out myself :(

@@DynamicPhil84 Thanks! Nah, AF is still a hit or miss, was hoping for some good AF but it's still the same as the previous flaship models.
@@ExigentFilms That's too bad. Maybe one day Z Cam can license Sony autofocus tech if they are using Sony sensors. I mean, even RED have been coming out with some pretty solid autofocus overall, Z Cam needs to step this up. Also wanted to ask you how the iOS/Android app works with this model alongside the monitor? I'm waffling between this model and the original F6. Leaning towards the F6 because I would probably be shooting Blackmagic Raw via the BM monitor, as I prefer working with raw and BRAW is soooo easy to work in post. So I'm thinking I could get away with recording in BRaw, but then using the app to control the camera remotely. Do you have any experience filming in BRaw on the original F6? How is ZRaw these days? Can you shoot full 6K60 in ZRaw? Sorry for a million questions!! It's just so hard to find more recent reviews and feedback on Z Cam since all their firmware updates (which seem like great improvements!)

How did you acquire the cage? I tried contacting Nitze directly 4 times and never received a reply. Also, the Zblade?
The cage is on its way to Amazon but you may have to contact Jayden Lee on facebook and also the ZBlade was sent to me by Z Cam to use and test.

I’m really sorry but I just can’t follow what you’re saying. The Z Cam channel has no search function and the Nitze channel reveals no search results. I’ll find it some other way.

Roughly 9 lbs.
The xlr placement is odd.
So does Arri and many cameras.
I would be concerned that a lot of the audio from your shotgun mike is being obstructed by your matte box.

@@ExigentFilms Why do you think so? Have you done an A/B? I've placed my microphone a similar way and noticed a fairly large difference when I moved it forward.
@@thepropolys because it works well on my setup? Lol I mean depends on your mic too so with mine, I have zero issues plus I mainly use this for ambient sound and the Fulaim X5 mainly for interviews.
@@ExigentFilms Gotcha. I use my on-camera mike for ambient mostly, but it's nice to have it on there for dialogue sometimes. I also run a mid-side stereo setup and am fairly particular about sound, so maybe that's why I'm more concerned about obstructions.
@@thepropolys I hear you brotha, I’m same with sound. This is why it’s good to have the XLR port on this camera for the shotgun mic and I can just switch to 3.5 in settings for the Fulaim lav so it just stays on the camera.
