The disrespect Liverpool get around the title race is insane. Even with terrible officials they're still top with only one loss.
And it was a robbery of a loss at that😂 one of the worse decisions I’ve ever seen
Every team has had to put up with terrible officials
You have no idea how much times liverpool got robbed@@alexsidenticalsiblingrandy5795
Not as much as liverpool this season . Shafted by refs every week nearly but still win
It’s called Jealousy. They’re all fuming but will never admit it. If Liverpool don’t win it then it will be the best league ever, Liverpool win it and it will be “but all teams were poor this season”
Unsure of why people put Arsenal up there as comfortable contenders while Liverpool's status as a contender is constantly questioned. They have the best attacking rotations in the league and solid depth in midfield with a quality first team defense that is anchored by arguably the best gk in the world.
It’s literally just Rory’s weird reverse jinx thing he has going on
tbh since we went top on new years i’ve seen the opposite. Ur right in that around christmas arsenal looked great and were on top but since they had that little bad form patch everyone’s written them off and now everyone’s saying it’s between city and liverpool when arsenal really aren’t that far away. I think people have this idea of once city are ahead of someone no one’s overtaking them so now arsenal are behind them they can’t catch up but liverpool have a chance as they’re ahead.
“People” = 1 man Rory Jennings but sure man Liverpool underdogs I guess
also have conceded the least amount in the EPL
Xactly..the amount of first team players are out and we are still leading the table....somehow if our lads hold on to that lead until our players come back from national duties and injuries then we will win the league......that is a big "IF"...But first we need to win against Chelsea and Arsenal...
Rory next week " Liverpool are in Crisis "
Rory the week after " Liverpool are title favourites "
Rory's opinions are like tears in the rain.

That was such a beautiful game
Agree 10 goals 10 assists is solid, but also the current bet in the league. Afraid Nunez like Salah is continually disrespected. Rory has changed his mind more times than his sheets.

I've been following liverpool for about 20 years, NEVER did the team had such good squad depth.
The first team is impecable and the substitutes are not bad substitutes at all, they are first team material plus the youngsters are showing real quality. If liverpool stay top pf the league after the arsenal match, i think they are winning it
They had solid depth 2021/22
This is probably the worst Liverpool team in recent years as well, the one that won the premier league had much better depth but shows you how despite facing losses of key players like firminio and mane klopp can always bounce back
One thing, that's not talked about much, is the great crosses coming from Gomez, Konaté and Van Dijk. Some midfielders in the prem can't cross the ball like those center halves do.
Gomez especially has been unreal this season. Since Trent's injury (and even before that) he has stepped up big time
Does Ade want to apologise for his reactionary and inflammatory takes on Endo?

Turns out give Nunez a 60mph wind to play against and he's the greatest striker to ever play the game
Is it a coincidence that Nunez performs better in away games than home games or am I just over exaggerating? 🤔
@@Ibrahim-nf6yh he performs every game you just don't watch Liverpool play. His clearly the most dangerous attacker including Salah. Salah is more clinical as is Jota but when Nunez doesn't play Liverpool look toothless.

Thiago is a has been waste of space, he doesn't deserve to play for us ahead of players who are willing to press and don't showboat and lose the ball. Get over him. He is leaving in a few months thankfully.
The sooner you forget about Thiago the better
@@nonnayoubuzinnes1669 bro he doesn’t showboat to lose the ball he’s incredible when available, the best midfielder at the club when fit. His injury has lead him to be out for ages which sucks and sure he doesn’t deserve to go straight back into the starting 11 without earning it. But he’s definitely going to be useful if he’s available for the run in considering Liverpool are in 4 competitions still. Also if Bajetic comes back at the same time it will be a huge boost, just means the whole team will be more fresh and well rested 👍
@@nonnayoubuzinnes1669damn that's a poor take.
@@nonnayoubuzinnes1669 I agree with you. Thiago needs to be sold. He was the best at one point but not anymore. He also has the third highest wages after Salah and VVD which is insane considering he doesn't even play. We need to get his wages off.
The reason I hate the who starts argument is that because Klopp plays 4-3-3 and after 60th minute, he just changes 3 CM and 2 strikers who would all start in teams in the prem and opponents who are tired are suddenly playing a different team with fresh legs. That's why we are scoring the most goals out of everyone in the last 60 minutes. So it doesn't matter who starts cause they will get minutes.
Klopp is finally reaping the rewards of his emotional campaign to up the substitutes allowed to 5... At the time it was to protect the players😂 tho injuries have gone through the roof since the change, it's almost as if he knew the richer clubs would benefit from this change by building huge squads of talented players😮

@@tomwilko7841 LFC have been using the most academy players or players we have improved which cost nothing. Elliott, Jones, Trent, Gomez, Quansah and Bradley for example. Also, atleast 6 to 7 teams in the Prem spend the same amount of money or more as us and why aren't they doing this.
A lot of the depth of this squad is from the youth team development
Just look at the list of players they have missing: almost an entire team full of internationals. Trent, Robertson, Tsmikas, Matip, Thiago, Szoboszlai, Endo, Salah, Bajcetic... Not even Man City would be able to maintain the form Liverpool have shown with so many out. Hell, they've lost every game Rodri has missed. Liverpool had only 12 players available who were named in the first team squad at the start of the season for the game last weekend, away to the second most in-form team in the league...and they won 4-0. No other team could have done that, really. They haven't had a full squad all season but are still in all competitions and clear at the top.
Can they win it? Of course. Will they? If City lose Rodri again ... Probably.
Liverpool are still learning to play together, there new players have fitted in so well, winning in transition of a team is absolutely amazing, and youngs lads are coming through as top players, with more young lads this year getting time. As a Liverpool fan am thinking this is best I could of hope for at start of season

@@olliered9924I agree. This season City's squad isn't as big as the last couple of seasons. Liverpool have cover for every position and double the cover for some.

Considering we’re first through half the season I’d say yes 😂
The refs (Paul Tierney) have done what they can to keep Liverpool away from the title and they’re still first. Now that’s impressive.
Tierney is in charge vs Chelsea on Jan 31st. Another shit show incoming

Tierney is the most backward referee ever. Giving Jones a red card for a tackle on the ball, but he rolls over the ball on someone's ankle, then not giving Kluivert a red card for a similar, arguably worse tackle. It's apparent at this point.
Klopp even reacted to it when he heard he was in the VAR room, like "Paul Tierney?" "Ohh..."
We know about his agenda to stop us. How the FA keep giving him games to ref against us is weird, but with Webb at the reigns, it really isn't.
I think if you asked Pep who he's afraid of the most ill guarantee his answer would be Klopp and Liverpool.
That is a fact you just spoke. But some fuming Liverpool fans are claiming they would have won 5 titles if City had not cheated, which is not proven. No matter how many titles City wins they are always cheaters. I think football fans should respect how beautiful game of football City plays.
That’s quite an obvious answer as Liverpool and City have created a bit of a rivalry in recent years being the 2 strongest teams in the league (except last season of course)

Of course they’re title contenders they’re top of the league going into the final few months of the season, they’re not favourites that’s City but they have just gotta keep winning and see where it takes them
As a Liverpool fan who gets to games regulally, i find myself watching Nunez a fair bit........... IMHO it's almost like the team is thinking about it too much when Nunez is already on his bike, so he's getting a lot of off sides etc and he's just not getting the right ball for what he does (as you say the one on one confidence thing where he's running at a keeper does feel a bit like he's over thinking it) but you put a player like Jota there assisting Nunez, well Jota sends the balls he would like to get and a player like Nunez thrives off that. The thing i like about Nunez is his work rate, i don't think you see it so much on Tv but Nunez gets back to defend a lot!! i think he's blocked three or four big chances for opositions in the last few games. I agree, Undroppable!!

One sign of a great manager is being able to bring up academy prospects. Klopp has built this up and now it is paying dividends. 5hat will ensure not only future success but it will help the finances of the team. If the ffp ever gets ballsliverpool will be unbeatable. Even mourinho couldnt do this. He always preferred his proven stars and would hesitate to bring people up.
VAR only thing stopping them from winning the league already cost Liverpool 5 points
Never in the history of the premier league has a team that was first at the start of the new year, been questioned on whether or not they are legitimate title challengers.
The undermining of liverpool this season has been insane
Liverpool have always been title contenders and the only team who can win a race against City
@yorgenibnstrangle3072 Exactly 👏. He came to Liverpool when he was already past his best and struggled in high intensity games from the start. He conceded a pen on his debut. The only games where he stood out were when we played poor sides or sides out of form. The fact he's on such high wages makes it even worse. There's no way he gets in ahead of the current midfield. It would be like turning the clock back to last season when we looked stale and slow.
Who??
Yep. This isn't gonna be a season where you need 90 points+ to win the league. You don't have to be practically perfect to win it this year.
Agree with a lot said, apart from saying us not winning the league won’t be to do with them. We’re constantly exposed at RB, and the 6 position is still an issue (Mac Allister isn’t the answer). Go and sign Kimmich and he solves both problems, only then will the league be totally in our hands, and and end can be put to City’s dominance
Even with VAR robbing points we are still in pole position

ive said this from the beginning. Liverpool are far deadlier with Nunez off the left hand side, utilising his power and pace with Jota in the centre because of his clinical finishing and either Gakpo/Diaz/Elliot on the right. play to your strengths. (obviously Salah when he's back)
Left OR right, Nunez is happier not in centre BUT does a great job in centre and Klopp loves him for it
One thing that's underrated this season in Liverpool is the leadership.
Trent being the Assistant captain is massive and he's stepped up big big time. How Klopp managed it that Salah wasn't furious is peak levels management.
The new midfield are literally carried by the leaders ensuring they know what to do and they stay grounded.
i mean klopp asked the players who they wamt as the leders im sure slah was onboard with the trent idea
Are the team who’s 5 points clear at the end of Jan, with the best goal difference, best defence & have only lost one game genuine contenders??? Absolute jokers.
Rory lost me when he said "What he needs to do" speaking of Nunez 🤣🤣

5 points clear at 21 games played is not "contender" material, it is league winning material. It is LFCs to lose, a couple of draws or a slip ups and City hitting another long untinterrupted winning streak, is what is going to change things. I think Arsenal are probably contenders but unlikely winners, the team doesnt have enough character, despite the talent in the squad. No one outside those 3 are in the race.
If city are to go on this unbeatable run it means they have to beat spurs and Liverpool away on that run? Cant see them beating even one of those two
"say dodgy!" 😂😂😂
We have to keep this up to win the title
But the title here is disrespectful in a way.
@erosion271 It's an opinion. Klopp himself says he's surprised we're where we are. It's far worse to expect too much then rat the players out if they don't win it. I have seen our fans call the players 'bottlers' for not winning the league in 17/18 when we got over 90 points which is what will happen now if people expect too much. I'd rather be realistic. We've done great and deserve praise but I expect MC to win it.
At least LFC are doing things honestly, win or lose the title they may
As LFC fan, we'll let other clubs and fans discuss this.
We're just focused on about winning the next game and then one after that and so on, until the end of the season and just loving or enjoying watching this team, under Klopps Liverpool rebuild 😂
And focus on getting more points than City.
What the hell does that title mean? They are top of league at the end of January despite getting the worst of the officiating decisions.
I've been commenting this on all the videos i watch and I'll comment it again, Liverpool will be the 23/24 champions. if you asked me to say this last year, i would have told you ima go watch an episode of true detectives to lift my mood
Anyone that can push Man city where they finish a point behind or win it by a point is genuine, Arsenal finished 5 points behind have a massive lead so they are not genuine title contenders. Liverpool have had 4 challenging titles against City so given where they are currently in the league they have better experience plus we still have at least 6 players with title winning experience. The Chelsea and Arsenal games will be a huge marker for whether Liverpool are challengers. City next 3 games are tailor made for them to gobble up max points
I do still think we need defender to replace Matip and another CM to replace Thiago if we did this sooner rather than at summer the players with have a better understanding of the way we play and develop friendships in the squad so they are on it straight next season. Then Matip and Thiago are out the door in the summer and the roles are already filled.
What happened to the Middlesborough stream?
Top of the league in February would probably tell you something
As a Liverpool fan, I have to point out we did also lose a game in the Europa
The games against Chelsea and arsenal will define the season in terms of league
call me crazy but salah might have not be a mainstay in this team when he’s back, i remember i think it was the 21/22 season where salah came back from afcon and scored 3/4 goals until the end of the season, if he comes back from afcon and goes let’s say 3 games without a goal would u not consider starting jota on the right over him? this is a very hypothetical situation because he could go on to score 15 between now and the end of the season in the league alone but there’s so much depth it’s not a guarantee. It’s a bit like at city if kdb had a bad spell a couple of seasons ago u could play gundogen and bernardo silva instead so it’s ok for them to have a bad spell
If it stays as is. I'd play nunez left, jota middle and mo right
Nunez is getting smarter and can play the Liverpool system now
Liverpool are playing like a brilliant team not like alot if players on top form it's a team on top form .This is there lowest point with so many players not an option and now they all start returning.the great thing Is asking the utilitiy players to step up and they have and way more .Gomez,Bradly,Quansah,Doak ,It's a big positive step because of these guys .the academy is brilliant.i don't know how much Klopp has to do with the academy but he has such a wonderful team of people working together.i really think will wipe the floor with man city .it's typical pundits a week before man city won 3/2 at Newcastle the where not the same as last year oh they look vulnerable. One week goldfish memories the lot of them

People always put Pep as the best manager in the world or the league, like it's not even a discussion... But put Pep in Klopp's shoes with the same financial structure, Pep wouldn't have won even one single title (I'm like 95% sure...), whereas Klopp has won pretty much every club trophy available with Liverpool, just not consecutively. That's why I put Klopp above Pep as a manager, because he isn't dependent on massive amounts of financial backing, but actually has to MANAGE a club properly and great recruitment.
