    Just wanted to mention again that the correct MEASUREMENT OF THE STRAPS

    The final (sewn) measurements of my straps were 10 inches long and 1/2 inch wide.

    First of all thank you so much for this tutorial!!! It's by far the easiest one to follow and you are so good at explaining every step! If I wanted to make a cami top using a satin fabric, do I need to use pinking scissors or a special seam to prevent the satin fabric from unraveling? Thank you so much, can't wait to share my finished product and tag you!

    • @Flagiuzio
      @Flagiuzio  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Nirja!
      Thank you so much for the kind words 💕
      For satin fabrics I recommended you use french seams or overlock since satin fabrics do unravel a lot!

    that you for this. I've been wanting to make a cami top with sort of a shelf bra but couldn't find a pattern that didn't start with a store bought bra. I wanted something much simpler. Your facing could be made just long enough for the shelf bra and then elasticized at the bottom. bingo. problem solved. (i think. will have to try it to know for sure.)

    • @Flagiuzio
      @Flagiuzio  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Donna,
      Great idea!! I believe that could work!
      I would probably make the facing longer as you mentioned so it fits the bra. The elastic is a great idea and I think it will work like a charm!
      Let me know how it goes 😊

    Hi....
    That was a nice and detailed video. . Thank you....but do you need to really give facing at the back....? I'm a beginner and was never clear till i saw your video....

    • @Flagiuzio
      @Flagiuzio  5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hi Sucharitha,
      The reason why I added the facing in the back is to finish the fabric properly on both sides.
      So the facing in the front serves to give extra coverage for the bust and finish the raw edges of the neckline, while in the back it is mainly just to finish the neckline.
      Thank you for watching the video and leaving your comment!

    Hi Great tutorial thank you. Can I check strap dimensions please. I don't think 24 inches each strap sounds right (that's 2 feet long)?

    • @Flagiuzio
      @Flagiuzio  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi!! Thank you for the comment! I just realized that I said the wrong measurement for the straps. My final strap measures 10 inches long by 1/2 inch wide.
      I would cut a strap that is at least 11 inches just to be safe.
      Thank you for the comment and I will add an annotation in the tutorial for the other people that watch this!!

    Very cute.... I'd like to make this into a dress, how would I do that? Just get longer fabric?

    • @Flagiuzio
      @Flagiuzio  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Sharon!
      In that case I would use a longer fabric and I would also cut the fabric a bit more A line at the bottom since most women tend to have hips that are wider than their bust.
      I am sure its going to look super cute!

      Hi Sonia!
      Thank you for commenting on this tutorial!
      I can speak Spanish since both of my husband's parents are from Peru. But not well enough to do a tutorial probably 😊
      Viscose and rayon are the same. Viscose is a name that is used more often in South America and Europe while rayon name might be more American. But dont quote me on that 🤣🤣🤣

    Sorry, beginner here, but could I use the same process with silk fabric? I love the design I just didn’t know if the fabric type made a difference

    • @Flagiuzio
      @Flagiuzio  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi!
      I would say that using silk as a beginner might not be the best option.
      That is because silk can be such a pain to sew and it is so slippery.
      If you want the silk look you can always use a silk like polyester fabric or a rayon, since both are much more manageable.
      Thank you for watching 💕
