one thing I've found with the 60he, is that a real power move is to remap your capslock as another function key. I forget who I got that from, but that's really galaxy brain.
JSynatx is one of the youtubers that mentioned it. I'm sure others have too. JSyntax's video is honestly fantastic and it's a great showcase of how good the software wooting has and being able to layer keys and have additional functionality in ways that most people wouldn't do normally.
@@decshado69 He's saying that you can make it so when you hold CAPS and press another key that you can do something that wouldn't normally be possible, having CAPS and pressing W would mute volume when that's not possible normally
been loving my 80he its a perfect keyboard for me, been missing my dedicated F and arrow keys + the sound is way way way nicer than my apex pro mini that i was using.
Thnx for the settings for your keyboard. I'm using it for a couple of days now, and this short explanation is very clear to see what you can set up. And the share option for the settings is so useful!
I'm looking at maybe buying a wooting and I have one question about the software: The steelseries software lets you set your keys so that they repeatedly press when you hold it down (basically works in the game as if you were typing where your letter just repeats). You can even set the repeat inputs while holding down to be slow or fast. Does wootilty have something like that?
@@Jaeky This isn't true unless something changed in the last 9 days. I don't believe Tachyon mode has anything to do with polling rate. You can go to Settings > Keyboard Settings and you'll see an option to change polling rate from 8000 Hz to 1000 Hz. This is possible to do with tachyon mode both on and off, which is why I believe they are two separate things.
80 HE, I actually own both and regret buying 60 cause it's missing a lot of keys I use but honestly it's personal choice. 60 looks cooler cause it comes with the yellow strap.
I was jsut playing around with the setting on my 80HE as well. Thank you, my main take away is the Rapid Trigger settings. I am still debating if I should use SOCD or not. Mainly play valorant and CS2 is kinda dead to me at this point.
yeah indeed I noticed that too, they feel taller and narrower but they are also further apart than regular cherry gaming keyboards. Starting to get a little more used to it now myself but its a real struggle haha
SOCD does have a use case in valorant it's just much less major. First off, there is a small (~16ms) reduction in how long it takes to become accurate after stopping moving when you counterstrafe in valorant but this is not big enough to be huge. The use for SOCD in valorant happens in terms of accuracy for switching directions when strafing/jiggling. You can now jiggle much more accurately with less overlap. You can also start your deadzone earlier when 2tap bursting and strafing.
@@javajoe_gaming9923 Which is why I mentioned that these settings are subjective. For me personally I have no use for SOCD but obviously if you play games like Overwatch you should turn it on.

Hi Jaeky, great video! I want to ask if there is a way to adjust the polling rate, like to 4000hz, or is it either 1000hz or 8000hz only?
@@phamleducanh00 Don’t believe there’s currently a way to go in between, looks like it’s only 1000Hz or 8000Hz with the Tachyon switch.
