I'm a trans woman and basically spotting a chaser is the trans culture equivalent of a big vibe check to see if the guy is serious about you or not. I've never liked the term chaser though and don't use it because the line is so blurry between guys that just want sex vs guys that want sex and are hoping for something more like a relationship

I am kinda confused by the whole thing as well, is it simply a fetishing thing where you want to sleep with trans women but would never date them in public? I get not wanting that. The term is to refer to the people who would date cis women however they would only use and objectify trans women. More importantly they treat trans women as their dirty secret and never want to be seen anywhere near them but on the other hand they are more than fine being seen with cis women. Hope that clarifies our perspective for you all, it’s not meant for men who just want to hookup regardless of trans or cis but for men who discriminate and treat trans women differently as some kind of toys for them to use and abuse for their pleasure. For me the discrimination and not being treated the same for similar situations is the key.
