@doveshampoo139 if possible, yes for accuracy. But when you're trying to use a significantly inaccurate model of a human spine/anatomy to prove a point then you might as well not have uploaded the video. 🤷♂️
I developed a slight variation of this sleeping position as a child. Only my outer arm is bent across my body, hand balled up into a fist and tucked under my chin. I have slept in this position for 58 years and I do not move once I have assumed this position. When I wake in the morning (if I’ve slept alone), the other side of the bed has not been disturbed. I didn’t question why I slept this way until I began to notice that when I had to sleep on my back I found myself feeling very vulnerable and anxious. I had trouble falling asleep and staying asleep in this position, and often woke up gasping for air because I had pulled the covers tight over my head at some point while I was sleeping. I finally realized the position I was most comfortable sleeping in was a defensive fetal position that I had adopted in the hopes of discouraging my Father’s “nightly visits” when I was a child. I am also not one that likes to be held or cuddled as it feels restrictive rather than comforting. Ironically, I have developed a bulging disc and sciatic on my left side which is the worst pain I have ever felt in my life so now, at 58 years old, I am having to retrain myself to sleep in a way that I have intentionally avoided all of my life. In all honesty it is my physical pain that is taking precedence over my psychological pain which isn’t necessarily a bad thing. This could prove to be therapeutic in more ways than one. 🤷♀️
@@hasoonnine I had insomnia for decades, now at age 40 I went back to sleeping in that position and I can finally sleep normally. It was recommended to me by a woman who had the same experience. Also now I no longer have shoulder pain. It works for some people just not everyone.
Because your nervous system knows what it needs in order to heal your trauma and make you feel safe, wich will make you rest better and improve your life in general.
Maybe you have sleep apnea, it is my case, I normally need a fucking machine that forces air into my nose to keep the airways open all night long and I don't suffocate. But sleepeng in my stomach solves it. The problem is how do I avoid destroying my neck 😂
I was a back baby. Slept in my back despite everything my mom did to get me to rotate. I never slept in that position until my 20s. T I had filled in my stomach to get warm and felt the pain in my back. I kicked one leg out and felt my entire body relax. It is so very comfortable. Even more so if you can grab a pillow to lounge upon
Whenever I try to sleep In a better position my body naturally rolls into where it feels comfortable. This morning I woke up looking like a pile of spaghetti
isnt it surprising how everything, every single thing that the whole world usually have in common is do “the worst thing for ourselves” by tiktokers or youtubers. and we do it precisely the same as they say. either we are all dumb and these guys are spot on, or exaggerating stuff for clout is the answer. the second one feels more accurate to me.
@@azzatee318 I had insomnia for decades, I am 40. I started sleeping like that a couple of months ago and since the first night of doing it I actually can sleep normally. For me I use a flatter pillow for sleeping on my stomach. Usually with both arms under the pillow. Idk why i do this but its my preferred way to sleep.
People that sleep like that genuinely scare me. This is literally THE least comfy position to stay for a long time. Neck twisted, back arched, lungs compressed so you cant breathe, legs not comfy.
Actually most of the time if someone’s sleeping like this it’s because they do find it comfy because when your asleep your body rotates which means you toss and turn which is your body trying to find a sleeping position that’s comfy to you so people who sleep like this aren’t used to it but find it comfy
If you rotate the pillow so that it’s aligned with your body, it fixes the neck tension because you can just rotate your shoulders a little bit and it supports your torso, you don’t have to look to the side so far to breathe correctly , and you can hug the pillow. Super comfy, and I think it’s better than the one he shows in the video. Make me fall asleep in seconds
It actually looks worse with the skeleton. Sleeping on my back was difficult but now it's my default position. I can't sleep on my belly for more than 10 minutes
That is absolute bs. How could sleeping position possibly affect personality? Think logically. Your comment if it’s not a joke is almost as dumb as astrology.
This is an instinctual sleeping position that our ancestors and many mammals use to this day, remove the pillow and use your arms. This will not only keep you from snoring, which drastically effects your sleep, it will also allow your upper torso to be lifted so that you can get a full stomach and chest full of air. Notice in the video how the skeleton is abnormally lifted using the pillow which messes with the actual curve of the spine. If I'm not mistaken this position is known as the lookout
@@charuseTV For some people if might if they have the wrong type of bed. For example larger and heavier people need firm beds otherwise they sink and lighter people need fluffier beds otherwise it flattens their back out too much.
