i have nothing to say but a big thank you for creating this video!!! I'm currently at the stage of doing calligraphy as a hobby but currently, i'm not so active on my art account due to time constraints. But doing calligraphy as a business has always been my plan since a few years ago but the first step is always the hardest! Hence, your motivational words really make me motivated to at least start selling something by this year >_

Thank you for this video! Your energy and encouragement is so inspiring! I have always loved beautiful handwriting and lettering and wanted to learn calligraphy as a creative outlet. I've signed up for a few online courses and am moving forward with my learning process and my husband has encouraged me to pursue calligraphy as a side hustle, but don't feel that I am at that point, but see from your experience that it is very much a possibility. So...thank you!

I'm part of your FB group and I totally agree that having the right community can make such a difference to your experience as a calligrapher! No-one in my 'bubble" are artists so I felt a little on my own until joining relevant Facebook groups. I think it helps with imposter syndrome as well to see others in the same position as you. For those who are looking to become, or are currently calligraphers and haven't done so already, I'd highly recommend Dina's Facebook group! 🙂 What personally helped me was making calligraphy cards for others to build a bit of confidence up. It was really rewarding to see friends and family's reactions to receiving my handmade cards.
Thank you so much! Cardstock works great if you're using brush pens and pointed pens, but if you want to also add watercolor to your quotes, you can also use watercolor paper! I hope that helps :)
