at 7:36 the heart rate was actually almost the same. the big 53bpm number on Oura was for the lowest heart rate, not the average. if you look at the little number below that, we see Oura calculated average heart rate at 58bpm and Samsung calculated the average at 57bpm

Not all features work unless you have a Samsung device. You could probably find a modded app but that's a pita and most people wouldn't bother. He does specifically say Android at the end.
@@MegaCynar I know not all features will work if it's not an android phone, but still, the Galaxy ring will work with basic functions with any android. However, I just signed up for the new RingConn Gen 2 for 199 USD.
Samsung Ring only tracks Walk, Run and Bike workouts. HR is not detected for swim or any other workout. Please get your information straight before pitching features that dont exist
Awesome review and comparison! Question with regard to how Oura handles workouts that are imported from Apple health. I have primarily only used Ultrahuman and it's frustrating because even though workouts will port in from Apple health it does not contribute to the "movement" calculation for the day. So the app is always telling me that I have not moved enough even though it can see a two hour workout was ported in. How does Oura handle that? I think the single best thing that Samsung probably does universally better is give you credit for any workout whether you wore the ring or not, right? So it's much more accurate from an activity evaluation standpoint
@@ShervinShares Yes, it'll be interesting to see what they'll come up with! In these types of videos, why do people never compare it to a regular ring? I dont want a chucky thing on my finger. Its so hard to tell the thickness without a direct comparison.
My perception of Samsung health products is they are gimmicky and offer no real substance. They have a long way to go be considered a serious contender to Garmin, Apple, and Oura.
@@directlinkrexx4409 Garmin has no ring and deliver better recovery analytics with their body battery. Apple has no ring but I’d argue Athlytic app delivers better insight than Samsung ring.
@@CraigEggleton So you have not used the service, just commented on others experience? I have used both Apple and Samsung for sometime now. Garmin need to stop playing here and bring out the ring we actually want that integrates with their watches and Connect. 👍🏼
Would like to see a video of using the ring and watch together. Apparently they can work together for a more accurate reading
The Oura ring does have a location setting which allows you to find your ring. How well it actually works is another matter.
I would love to wear a ring, it wouldnt be distractful as a watch with the screen. Unfortunately galaxy ring isnt available in Slovakia :(
I'm really glad I got the real truth instead of the fake truth.
Will it track sleep if you sleep during the day. Most smart watches I've tried won't and I work overnights.
have you set your sleep time on your phone to say you sleep during the day, eg bed time 9am wake up 6pm?
People who live with me have both of these rings and this video has so many inaccuracies it’s wild. It’s almost as if this was sponsored by Samsung.
