    Hi Dave, thank you so much for choosing our school and for sharing your thoughts! It makes our day to hear you're now even more skilled and confident at repairing appliances. Seeing experienced pros like you succeed is why we started sharing our knowledge years ago.
    And thank you for the constructive feedback. The audio quality on some of those older recordings is not up to today's standards (they were made before Zoom and other tech made it easier to get reliable audio). Now that we've created all the courses our students asked for, we have already started the process of updating older videos in our courses. We're on it! :-)

    Us being undertrained is an understatement, I been saying this for years. They want you to know how to be a plumber, electrician, HVAC tech, an appliance repairman, pool operator etc.... with barely any training whatsoever, shameful honestly. Great video bro gave me something to think about

      I totally agree, these companies only care about money. If they would really care they would train techs properly.

    The master samurai are really good for techs to take.I have recommended many of younger techs to take on these programs and they have come back with positive results.

    Congratulations on going through the course I too have viewed mater samurai’s videos on TH-cam and learned a lot. I’ve been in the Appliance industry for 12 years. Went independent 3 1/2 years ago wouldn’t change a thing.

      I went to my local Jr college for a two-year course in appliance repair. Unfortunately, that course is no longer available for people who want to learn.

    I really appreciate you taking the time to make this video. I have been thinking of taking this course for a couple years. I talked to an appliance repair tech the other day and he said his company paid for this and also sent their folks to the Fred's appliance school.

    Im employed through a neighborly company called Mr.Appliance and im currently enrolled in a course with Samurai. I’ve learned so much in a short amount of time! Aiming for my master certification though now that I’m obsessed with being an appliance tech.

    Is the appliance core class worth it? Do they teach you troubleshooting with a meter? How much does just the core class cost? What is the coolest troubleshooting they showed you with a meter?

    • @ApartmentMaintenancePro
      @ApartmentMaintenancePro  ปีที่แล้ว

      1. Yes 2. Yes 3. $795 4. Coolest thing I learned was the importance of using a loading meter to troubleshoot appliances

      @benjamintimmins1656 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@ApartmentMaintenancePro what is a loading meter?

    • @ApartmentMaintenancePro
      @ApartmentMaintenancePro  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@benjamintimmins1656 It uses a lil bit of voltage to get the correct voltage measurement. Other True RMS meters will pick up ghost voltage.

    • @natepeterson7145
      @natepeterson7145 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's the fluke 116 or a meter that has the LoZ function. It has a low resistance resistor that puts a load on the circuit that gives true scope of the condition of the load.
