Dude ur literally the best source of information out there !!! Like without you I wouldn know shit about tattooing. I love how you explain in depth how everythig works, from setting up machines over actually tattoing skin and different techniques to hygene and after care. Ur channel-titel "tattoo university" is spot on its literally a full free class on youtube. And ur my favourite professor! Keep on keeping on! You rock brother!
I know im late to the party, but your tips have been INVALUABLE Nick, Ive just done my first lined tattoo - heck of course its not come out perfect, in fact, its not completed because the black ink was covering up my stencil but I did manage to do 90% of it, the rest of it is some detail and I think I can just finish that off in a couple of weeks when its healed. Thanks to your advice - I didnt even bleed or go very red - the middle finger trick and the needle length poking out of the tip, I knew it was tattooing ok from the feeling and noise of the machine - all thanks to you. When its finished, I'll email you - just in case you dont get to read t his :)
I appreciate ur help and what ur trying to do and feel every artist could learn from someone like u and should strive to be a great example for other artists like you to show the best in tattooing and prove we can evolve and improve together
I’ve just gotten into tattooing, I was always good at art, so went into tattooing. Not licensed or nothing just all tattoos on myself so far and done one on my wife and two on my mom. I enjoy it as a hobby, making art come alive on the skin forever is an amazing feeling. Learned a lot from you the past few weeks. Thank you, now I’m coming to that time to shade and don’t know really what makes what pop n shading in general but willing to learn and proceed to it.
I have been working at tattooing for 12 years off and on I'm 100%self taught it is very hard to get good info out there and damn near impossible to get into a shop your video have been very helpful and informative for me I've not always had the money to buy equipment but I have strived to learn how to tattoo get better at tattooing and worked hard to save money and buy better equipment but that's the easy part getting good info is the hardest part what works what don't trial and error your video have been very helpful and I appreciate you I strive to learn more everyday can never learn to much thank you for making these videos
OMG thank you so much. I've watched your video about the middle finger and line work. I watched it about 2yrs ago and thought u was crazy BUT, my line work suffered. so I watched it again. and again. OMG. the first line I did was 99% better I couldn't believe it improved with one line. I was amazed. Thank you. so much.
The way i learn, i NEED to know why and how things work the way they do, so Tattoo University videos are perfect for me. As they say, "give a man a fish, he'll eat for a day. Teach him to fish, he'll eat for a lifetime". Thanks for teaching us how to fish.
I'm recording the healing process of this tattoo. It will take two weeks so might not be the next video, but the one after that. This tattoo will heal with very little damage. The colors in this tattoo will start to get brighter. The end result is the tattoo after it has healed. You also want the tattoo to last for years and years. Looking at a fresh tattoo is not going to help you a lot. Your goal is to have a good tattoo on that person when they are putting the nails in their coffin. I will put to rest any doubts you have about my technique and equipment when you see how this tattoo heals. I've been tattooing on old people and people who take blood thinners. I've tattooed drunks and people with diabetes. I've learned how to do as little damage as possible during the tattooing process. The results from that are tattoos that heal great and look dark for a really long time.
no problems! I understand. Just so you know I change my gloves and bagged everything including the hand poker. It might look like I went right into the tattoo but that is because of video editing. Also that hand poker had not been used until this video. Thanks for the comments and I'll talk to you through e-mail.
Let me tell you my story I played shop b!tch for a guy who I later found out only had 2 years of experience didn't teach me a damn thing and then ended up getting the shop shut down. Anyways your channel has been extremely helpful too me I almost look at you like an apprenticer I have an idea that I think would make both of us a lot of money if your interested email me at GreathouseBrendon@gmail.com
I noticed you mentioned adding a hint of cool blue to your white o help it stand out. Great for large patches of white!! But also depending on the tone of the persons skin you may want to add a hint of yellow....so if your client has a warm skin tone adding blue helps that larve patch of white to pop and visa versa a cool skin tone could use a yellow to make it pop more...just from my experience though takes some practice to get it right.
Been watching your videos for a while now and i must say I've taken a lot of useful info. Please keep doing what your doing. Some of us are in the same boat you were.
Tattoo University has a life of its own. It has turned into a business. Now we are selling things and still trying to work on videos. I have a lot of videos just waiting to get edited. Once they are done I can post them. Just been crazy trying to get business going.
dude you seem like a really good guy, you dont have to explain yourself to all them assholes out there, if you enjoy what your doing then keep up the good work, you taught me some stuff i did my first tatto lastnight it turned out really good, thanks God bless
no lie bro I'm on the same shit you're on and as an artist I appreciate your message first, and I must say I didn't see why you did the poke technique but I understand and this tattoo is clean af bro
facts but see it's about listening and watching the entire video, what Im sure most people would look over it or just stop watching but you really made that shit look good bro all props 100!!! oh, where you at tho??
I have another doubt too... How to decide what colors are best for brown skin ? Fair and dark?? Where does yellow lie? Colors like yellow are for fair skin only?
Man I don't think you need any encouragement but here goes mine. I went to art school, then did my masters in architecture and have been practicing for 10 years. I was born and raised in a ghetto in Portugal where many subcultures like hip hop and punk and hardcore raised so I was always very close to it's art forms like music, graffiti and tattooing. The thing I remember more from that time was that we were all friends and shared everything. Friends were like family and we all share knowledge on graffiti, and skateboarding and all that stuff. Some of my friends started tattooing and now they are pretty darn good but keep on being 0 pretentious. Tattoing has been a part of my life since I was very young and as soon as I could I got some tattoos of my own. About 2 years ago I fell accidentally into tattooing and quickly found this sort of pretentious crowd trying to protect something that doesn't belong to them and not to anyone for that matter, it belongs to everyone that respects it. Gladly I have friends in tattooing which gave me short apprenticeships during vacation. So big up for sharing all this information which has helped me tons. I also tattooing myself for practice and friends and I totally agree that you learn by doing and seeing it heal. You are punk, you are hardcore, you are family and you are a true tattoo artist! Thank you and keep on going!
Thank you! I think I get more respect from other countries. There are a lot of Pretentious people around me. Luckily I have enough self esteem that I don't need them to accept me. I see how much good the channel is doing and that keeps me going. Not only for artistic tattoos but for cosmetic tattoo artist and doctors. I wish everyone could see what I see. This is why I do the videos so people can see where this is going. I have a lot of goals that have not been reached yet. I have to take baby steps to get there. Eventually everything will be clear and people can see the how the channel has helped. For now I just delete the bad comments. I don't give into the bad vibes people want to put out there. Good Vibes Only! Some people try to keep others down because they feel bad about their situation. I try to pick everyone up so we can all do better. I tattoo because I love art and I love tattoos. I think a tattoo goes beyond what you can see. I will never stop and will try to show everyone the great things I've been working on. Thanks for the comment. It is very much appreciated.
Just keep doing what you are doing. Don't worry about the one's that don't get it or more importantly, those who don't want to get it. There is always a nay sayer. I have learned an immense amount of information from you and this channel. Keep it going you always have my support. Thank you Joseph M.
Love your vids. I learn lots and appreciate all your information. I do tattoo myself and let it heal and see what I could do better... each tattoo gets better ... also I go back and work the tattoo again to correct anything I could of done better.... I really like your work :)
I really learned alot from your videos, and I respect your personality and sharing the knowledge you got with others. I have been tattooing since a year on and off. But where I live it should be underground and it's really hard to get stuff for tattooing here, which u have to order.. But hand up for tattoo university.. Love your work.
I like to show how you can build your own equipment. This way you don't rely on others as much. Also helps when you are starting out before being able to order equipment.
I did a couple small tattoos on my legs last week. All healed really nicely which was surprising. I think what I need to work on is making sure I consistently go to the right depth while tattooing. I can see parts where the ink hasn’t saturated the skin enough
Realistic..it's the way that you teaching other thanks for to take a time and sharing your experience... really helpful and. Tell me how you are as a person... Wish you all the best for and your family...good vibes from stockholm Sweden
A guy at the tattoo supply said the same thing you have to tattoo yourself or find someone to fuck up lol so decided to do a rose on me and it healed so good been a year the color is yellow is solid in some spots but could used another pass and the line is smooth and shading you cant even feel the lines like sometimes with thicker lines not sure if because this lines are made with a shader i have a few tattoos sometimes they feel raised.
How you doing I've been tattooing for 27 years you have taught myself I am still trying to learn and I'm going to teach the others I am looking for people as well as you and me to learn more and Reach Out And Touch others

Thank you for giving me game and understanding.. I myself am a tattoo artist and i love learning more.. you can never know to much..
The channel has a mind of its own. It grows and changes. Recently I've moved and set up a space to do more videos. New space is set up for more camera angles and better lighting. Had to adapt and overcome challenges so the channel will grow
Hey brother just starting out love the chance to learn more about the job wish I could be an apprentice of yours alot of bullwash on u tube I would like to know where do I start at tattooing nervous as hell to tattoo myself or anyone else but willing to try on myself just wanted to let you know your a great artist and hopefully one day get as good or better than you and hope to hear back from you
Hello i really like your videos ..very informative... I just have a question.... How can i order a handpoke support? I am a handpoke tattooist in Philippines...and i really love your handpoke tattoo supoort...
Question for you or anyone on here. When useing magnum needle and flat tube I'm having issue with the thinner grey wash to flow out of the tube. I use silverback insta 1-10 and and like 1-5 thy don't flow like the thicker darker shades. Any help appreciated
I feel as if my machine is holding me back to reaching that next level in which im positive i can do! U sell machines? Or any advice on good affordable ones? I will get better machines once i save more $
Hi Nick, another brilliant video mate. Why do so many tattoo artists pretend that tattooing is rocket science? It's definitely NOT! I have lurnt far more from yourself than an entire year full time in a studio! Most tattoo apprenticeships are nothing more than cheap labour. Most people in the tattoo industry insist that the only way to lurn properly is by doing an apprenticeship, all I can say to this is BS! If this is the case, who taught the first tattooist?
@@matthewmorton2210 You can buy hand poking kits, I don't know what part of the world you are from, but here in the UK I have seen them for sale at killer ink tattoo supplies I do believe! But I don't reckon it would be that hard to make your own! 👍
So I have been tattooing for some time now. Quick question, why is it that every time I tattoo myself, i seem to go too deep or am overworking the skin? I dont seem to notice until a few days later during the healing process. (Gets scabby and red). Any tips you can think of to avoid this. Thx Nick. 😁😁
How busy are you right now? I want to do a tattoo video with your music. My video editing skill are limited to windows video editor. Think if I sent you some video you could do something cool with it and slap it in a video. Add your music to it and we will have something really awesome.
What mix are you using on the napkin to wipe of ink?my main problem is the ink just smearing everywhere an it gets so aggravting having to wipe it more than needed. Great videos btw
@@TattooUniversity thank you,I ended up watching your other videos after I commented and seen you mixing them and explaining it. I'll see how it works out for me as soon as I can get some
@@TattooUniversity I'm no pro but I done some decent tats,it been awhile though. Ended up fighting cancer and the chemo messed me up,I'm dealing with nerve damage and other side effects from it but it's slowly getting better and when I do start back I'll try out your mix. I got diagnosed with testicular cancer at 25,I'm going to be 30 this year so had a long 5 years fight with it
Awesome videos. Subbed with Notifications turned ON. Thanks a bunch! Just recently purchased all things needed to start tattooing. Super excited. Keep em coming bro! :D
Have you heard of Compass Tattoo Machines? I saw reviews that said they are on par with professional machines, for roughly 100$ each. I bought myself 2, 1 liner and 1 shader. I didn't wanna go for a cheap starter kit, so I decided to buy those 2 machines along with a nice power supply, accessories, etc. Was just curious to see if you or anyone has had any experience with these machines. Thanks in advance! :) Looking forward to learning lots. Definitely going to start taking 1-2 hours out of my day to draw and improve my skills.
I would look at the materials the machines are made of. Also are they put together by someone who knows how to tune a machine. Don't trust any comments they have on their page. Go online and see what other tattoo artist say about them. Go to tattoo pages on facebook and talk to people who are using them. I will have to look into them myself. You said they are on par with professional machines for $100. You can get a professional machine from a builder for $100. You just have to see what their reputation is.
You said your body butter had coconut oil. My mom is an aroma therapist and something I have learned from helping her make products safe for tattoos, is coconut oil actually pulls out the ink.
Hiw do you make your oen grey wash? Or Do u have a video on it? Meaning a bottle of it to use. Or do u think its best to do the little cups like you do in this video each time?
I usually like mixing in the ink cups. I've noticed that if you mix it early it likes to separate more and you have to shake it up before using. I try new things a lot so I'm looking for a better way to do my grey was premix. Probably have to mess with the carrier solution so it doesn't separate. Maybe make it thicker.
I do have video of those. It is really old and not the best. My plan is to start showing how certain tattoos are done. I will start to cover different styles and how these are done.
This is great. I'm thinking about designing a full machine using fusion 360. Able to print a full machine and then use off the shelf motors and bearings. Making it easily upgradable. And work to your needs.
I'm working to make some improvements on the 3d printed machine frames. The ones they currently have out there aren't the best. If you are interested in 3d printing machines you can email me at jauntyartist@hotmail.com.
Hey dude, im trying to understand soft shading techniques. I have got some bug pins, 00's, and im under the impression that the faded look of shading comes from the dillution of ink used, is this correct? I have witch hazel and im willing to give it a try.
Thanks. Those roses were done years ago. Did them when I first started working on my shading. I was having a problem finding a tattoo to put there. The roses made it difficult to find something that fit. Skull would of worked but I didn't want a skull there. Ended up with a moth. It just jumped out at me so I decided to do it last minute. Video was going to be something completely different. Spur of the moment tattooing happened.
Hello was wondering when you line with the triple black do you put one drop hazel to thin it out to make it easy to line with or do you use straight thanks 😎
I use it straight until it starts to get a thick. Then I dip in the water cup or witch hazel to loosen it up. Not trying to make grey wash. Just using enough to keep the ink moving.
This design is an improvement for artist who like to stick n poke tattoos. Stick n poke tattoos are a very relaxing way to tattoo. I enjoy the process and so do other tattoo artist. Clients don't complain about it because they don't hurt as much. I'm always trying to make improvements but I also like to do things traditionally. Learn about the past and improve in the future.
Yes check out nickdurant_tattoos on instagram for pics. Send me a message on there or Email me jauntyartist@hotmail.com and I'll show you whats available
Iam not gonna lie! Ive learned more from you than i did in my apprenticeship. When you showed have to pull lines by using ur middle finger to rest and hold depth etc. It was a game changer. I wish i could post pics of my tattoos! One year of tattooing and iam stoked on where iam at! Watching youtube and reading huck Spalding tattooing a-z the best book on tattooing plus some comun sence and you got it! And buying good equipment! Find me on Instagram @ johnknowshow_electric tattooing i wanted to tattoo i more than life and self righteous tattooer wouldn't help me or use me and not teach me shit. Untill i said fuck it and tought myself! My tattos are looking soild! Thanks for your help!
hai. I'm beginner, and I'm using intenze lemon yellow ink for colour but the ink didn't stay on skin and I'm using 5m1. Can you tell whats wrong at here. Or I pickup wrong ink for shading tQ
The first question is can you pack other color? If the answer is yes then you have to check the flow of your ink and your needle hang. If it is falling out your needle depth isn't correct. If it is just hard to see you can add a darker color around it or blend it with a darker color.
you can mix yellow with orange, gold, brown, or a darker tone of yellow to make it darker. Add white to make it brighter. Use this to go from dark tone to light tone with the yellows.
I think you know a hole lot more then most... So thank you for your work.. You help me a lot. I'm just starting out one year now. But not a lot.. Just did 15 rats.
Yellow will turn a darker tone. I have been testing some things on darker skin. You really have to focus on the dark areas and the highlights. Sometimes the color or the tone will change but having the contrast there is still good.
@@TattooUniversity sir.... Thanks you are great!!!! U have been a great soul!!! Teaching things to people for free.... But I would like to experiment more on yellow... How to bring out the color yellow? Heard some say that a little brown would help.
@@TattooUniversity . I use intense ink. With hummingbird bronc 7 pen. With mag shaders I've tried other Inka as well but no matter howany times I go over it I just end up with red tented skin 😑 defenatly very frustratinf
This is a hard subject to sum up in one comment. It takes a lot of practice to learn how to do this. I would say you should practice with pencil and charcoal before picking up a tattoo machine. Learn the basics to shading and then try to apply it to a tattoo. Then your machine needs to be tuned properly. You don't want a machine that will pack in the pigment on the first run. You need to build up the shading. Then there is the technique used by the artist. Feather shading is used to get that soft shading. If you need to build up an area you can do circle motions and pack it in a little more. You can also whip shade to go from dark to light. Then you have the proper needle group. I use long tapered needles or bug pin needles. Add all of these elements together and you have some smooth shading. I think shading is where a lot of tattoo artist fail. It takes a lot of practice. Practice that starts with the drawing stage before you even pick up a machine. My art teacher used to make us draw eggs. Put a light on it so you get a highlight that moves into a hard shadow right under the egg. Then get a pencil and draw all of the shadows on it. It is not an easy task, but will get you going the right direction. Don't use the point of the pencil. Hold the pencil at the back and build up the shadows only using the pencil lead. Not the pressure from your hand. Watch the video I did drawing the fish with pencils. I use this technique.
Well thanks for the info, i can shade with a pencil, but i dont really see how that helps when tattooing. I need to know what the technique is! I have done some research but its hard to determine what actually works. Ive got a feeling its how you approach the stroke of the needle, as well as the dillution of the ink! I will keep asking questions to other tattoo artist but as you know alot of them dont share there knowledge.
Why is it that when I see you tattoo this moth your skin isn't swelling when I tattoo myself its swelling kinda bad can you give me any tips I'm just starting out
Don't use Green Soap or anything with alcohol after you clean the skin. Don't use excess voltage or speed to do the tattoo. Only enough force and speed to get the job done. Don't go too deep. Keep the correct depth. Don't wipe the skin excessively. Only wipe when you need to and use ointment to help remove excess ink. Just be a really nice guy to the tattoo and it will heal nice without the redness.
HI Nick ,i learned a lot from your videos an i started 16-17 years ago tattooing ,not a day to day job more like a hobby never took lessons i am self toght ,i know is a long time but i live in Romania and many years i worked with an improvised machine in that time i never knew how a tattoo machine looks like :)) and i worked only with one needle on an improvised rotary machine at first small tattoos then larger ones only with one needle sounds crazy but it.s true ,i tuned my hand to the machine ,in 2008-2009 i got my first coil machine it was a 12W very powerful good for packing color ,in time i learn a few things but only with the help of my hand :)) now thanks to you i tuned all my machines every one has his job i changed the contact bars springs and it realy works i use to tuned my machines by hearing ,i realy appriciate what you are doing, just from this video i learned that shading with 10 gauge needles works better more fine and easyer for very soft shading, i trained my hand to do that type of shades, using the tools we have to make our work easy that is the real meaning of a craft , so thankyou very mutch .
I'm very glad to hear that these videos have helped you. I'm also impressed that you have been working on your machines. It is awesome when someone has that make it happen attitude. I love it when tattoo artist are willing to get into every aspect of tattooing. I feel like knowing your machines and how to fix them is part of the fun. I hope you continue to grow and learn. Glad I could be part of that journey for you.
I like the fact that you really want to spread knowledge without caring too much about personal gain.
Thanks, I'm glad that people are picking up on that.
Thats what I love about this account! And it helps so much, keeps that "fish out of water" feeling at bay 🤣

OMG. the first line I did was 99% better I couldn't believe it improved with one line.
Tattoo University i want u to use me and tagg me up
sounds like a good time
Let me tell you my story I played shop b!tch for a guy who I later found out only had 2 years of experience didn't teach me a damn thing and then ended up getting the shop shut down.
Good advice . Ive heard that from other artist
i just found your channel this past week and learned so much. thank you for your channel
Thanks. I appreciate your comment. Something about hand poke tattoos are really satisfying.
facts but see it's about listening and watching the entire video, what Im sure most people would look over it or just stop watching but you really made that shit look good bro all props 100!!! oh, where you at tho??
Your a credible source of info, do I agree with everything you say no, but I implement a lot of what I have learned from you, thank you
I have another doubt too...
Thank you
Joseph M.
Thanks
Love your vids. I learn lots and appreciate all your information. I do tattoo myself and let it heal and see what I could do better... each tattoo gets better ... also I go back and work the tattoo again to correct anything I could of done better.... I really like your work :)
Thank You!
I'm a new artists. I really like ur videos. I'm learning alot, and just wanted to say thank you for your efforts!😁
Going to work on the website real soon. Get a feel for how it is going to look at gotattoou.com
Thank you so much you've helped me understand alot you explain in detail i will go on gawkbox tonight
I did a couple small tattoos on my legs last week. All healed really nicely which was surprising. I think what I need to work on is making sure I consistently go to the right depth while tattooing. I can see parts where the ink hasn’t saturated the skin enough
Could be technique and also could be machine tuning issue.
hello sire.. thank you so much.. for all your vids im learning alot.. i really like how you explain. . fan here from philippines
You are doing an outstanding job man. great channel>
Realistic..it's the way that you teaching other thanks for to take a time and sharing your experience... really helpful and. Tell me how you are as a person... Wish you all the best for and your family...good vibes from stockholm Sweden
Thank You. Your a life saver. Don't doubt it
A guy at the tattoo supply said the same thing you have to tattoo yourself or find someone to fuck up lol so decided to do a rose on me and it healed so good been a year the color is yellow is solid in some spots but could used another pass and the line is smooth and shading you cant even feel the lines like sometimes with thicker lines not sure if because this lines are made with a shader i have a few tattoos sometimes they feel raised.
How you doing I've been tattooing for 27 years you have taught myself I am still trying to learn and I'm going to teach the others I am looking for people as well as you and me to learn more and Reach Out And Touch others

Where do i get a hand poker of yours?
@@matthewmorton2210
You can buy hand poking kits, I don't know what part of the world you are from, but here in the UK I have seen them for sale at killer ink tattoo supplies I do believe!
But I don't reckon it would be that hard to make your own! 👍
Lurn ❤
So I have been tattooing for some time now. Quick question, why is it that every time I tattoo myself, i seem to go too deep or am overworking the skin? I dont seem to notice until a few days later during the healing process. (Gets scabby and red). Any tips you can think of to avoid this. Thx Nick. 😁😁
what brand and type of witch hazel do you use to make your greywash??
Again a great video bro. Thanks!!
How busy are you right now? I want to do a tattoo video with your music. My video editing skill are limited to windows video editor. Think if I sent you some video you could do something cool with it and slap it in a video. Add your music to it and we will have something really awesome.
Sure, send it me to my mail
Ok thank you ill give that a shot and hopefully it works better for me thanks again
What mix are you using on the napkin to wipe of ink?my main problem is the ink just smearing everywhere an it gets so aggravting having to wipe it more than needed. Great videos btw
Coconut and shea butter mix
I made a video that shows you how to make your own batch if you want
@@TattooUniversity thank you,I ended up watching your other videos after I commented and seen you mixing them and explaining it. I'll see how it works out for me as soon as I can get some
@@TattooUniversity I'm no pro but I done some decent tats,it been awhile though. Ended up fighting cancer and the chemo messed me up,I'm dealing with nerve damage and other side effects from it but it's slowly getting better and when I do start back I'll try out your mix. I got diagnosed with testicular cancer at 25,I'm going to be 30 this year so had a long 5 years fight with it
@@MatthewPicou keep up the good work. Taking care of yourself and tattooing. I know several people myself who are going through the same struggle.
Awesome videos. Subbed with Notifications turned ON. Thanks a bunch! Just recently purchased all things needed to start tattooing. Super excited. Keep em coming bro! :D
There are a lot of good videos I'm working on. Should teach you guys a lot.
Thanks a bunch.
no problem
You said your body butter had coconut oil. My mom is an aroma therapist and something I have learned from helping her make products safe for tattoos, is coconut oil actually pulls out the ink.
I've had no issues with it. Do you happen to know why they are saying this? What is the reasoning behind it?
knowledge is power, the knowledge u have gave me has helped alot ,thanks keep up what u do .I appreciate any knowledge....
Thanks
What kind of stencil printer do you use? I purchased a thermal printer and my stencils do not come out like that ):
Hiw do you make your oen grey wash? Or Do u have a video on it? Meaning a bottle of it to use. Or do u think its best to do the little cups like you do in this video each time?
I usually like mixing in the ink cups. I've noticed that if you mix it early it likes to separate more and you have to shake it up before using. I try new things a lot so I'm looking for a better way to do my grey was premix. Probably have to mess with the carrier solution so it doesn't separate. Maybe make it thicker.
I believe the video I did with the moth has me mixing the ink before the tattoo.
Is he using a baby wipe or paper towel to wipe away the excess ink?
I’ve learned so much from you as a self taught tattoo artist and thank you so much for all of the information. 💜💜💜
Glad I could help!
Do u have a video of the flowers below the moth? Its beautiful
I do have video of those. It is really old and not the best. My plan is to start showing how certain tattoos are done. I will start to cover different styles and how these are done.
Was that Hybrid Moments by the Misfits in the background?
put the stencil on sitting down and youl stand up with it warpt
*Warped
Spelling is kind of important for someone who is tattooing other people.
Tattoo University great thanks I sent an email over to you
Hey dude, im trying to understand soft shading techniques. I have got some bug pins, 00's,
and im under the impression that the faded look of shading comes from the dillution of ink used, is this correct?
I have witch hazel and im willing to give it a try.
Hi Nick them roses are great did you do them? Nice to see you back helping with your videos. Thanks for you time and hard work
Tattoo University thanks for replying 😎
Homie your gloves are different colors and I'm losing my shit lmao
This channels about making improvements.... “ Here look at this stick n poke machine “ 😂
I would like to buy the 3D poker...Are you selling them now?
Yes check out nickdurant_tattoos on instagram for pics. Send me a message on there or Email me jauntyartist@hotmail.com and I'll show you whats available

I watched the original video on your stencil stuff, did you release an updated version?
updated one should be the hand sanitizer, aloe , and glycerin.
@@TattooUniversity
So that's 2oz sanitizer, 4oz aloe, n 2oz glycerin?
Nice, like the hand poker.3D printing is amazing stuff & definitely part of tattoo future
I'm working on some 3d printed tattoo machine also. Coils and Rotaries. I'll show everyone when they are done.
Hey man respect what you do. But seriously you do not need to address the haters. Stick to sharing the good news. :) appreciate it
You are correct. Thanks for the comment
Always the best.
Thank You
I like ur videos and i am learning alot from u
Great mentor
Thank you so much.
I think you know a hole lot more then most...
So thank you for your work..
You help me a lot.
I'm just starting out one year now. But not a lot..
Just did 15 rats.
I really wanted to know about yellow color.. but sometimes it turns green on darker skin what do I need to do?
Yellow will turn a darker tone. I have been testing some things on darker skin. You really have to focus on the dark areas and the highlights. Sometimes the color or the tone will change but having the contrast there is still good.
@@TattooUniversity sir.... Thanks you are great!!!! U have been a great soul!!! Teaching things to people for free.... But I would like to experiment more on yellow... How to bring out the color yellow? Heard some say that a little brown would help.
This was one of your good vids.. thats awsdome.
Thanq sir ! For teaching! Thank u for the video !
You are welcome!
Which niddle is best for shading??flat or curve boss♡♡♡♡♡
Depends on the artist and what they like to work with. I would say most artist would pick a curved mag.
Fantastic profile thanks man for the nice Tipps
You are welcome
For some reason I can't get yellow or white to show up at all. Any advice?
Try different ink. Make sure you are using a color packer. Use short tapered needles. Don't overwork the skin.
@@TattooUniversity . I use intense ink. With hummingbird bronc 7 pen. With mag shaders I've tried other Inka as well but no matter howany times I go over it I just end up with red tented skin 😑 defenatly very frustratinf
Dude I still dont understand soft shading, can you explain any further please?
Yes, I'm working on some videos that will explain.
Keep making great vids man !!!!!!!!! 5 stars brotha
Thank You!
