People will lose their trust to the respected AFP personnel if they continue to show these antics. Regardless if PRC is telling the truth or plainly running a propaganda, an honorable individual must not run away from an issue being tied to him. Unless majority of the gov't officials are plagued by our very own VP's favorite tag line "no comment", nothing can be done I suppose.

For WestMinCom Admiral Alberto Carlos should named his co-conpirators who were there on when that "new model" agreement was made. As if DND sec. Teodoro and Gen. Brawner explained their different sides on the matter. Maybe they would brief themsrlves first on their undertakings. Washing hands before the people on the matter should not be considered.
I doubted if Admiral Carlos acted alone when the "new model" agreement was made. I think, NO!

@SuperKaran32 It's sad that even some of our own military personnel and some of the government officials (both local and national) have been infiltrated by the Chinese spy/espionage network in the Philippines. The truth is, BBM was trying to use the "new model" with the Chinese to extract the best negotiating position when he went to the US to ask for the release of Marcos wealth stashed abroad. The problem is: the decision to keep the Philippine historical wealth by themselves happened right when the Marcoses deposited this wealth in their bank vaults. Not even Venezuela, nor superpower Russia, can expatriate their wealth back because that's not the point of requiring other countries to deposit their wealth in order to participate in the Western controlled finance and banking system (SWIFT, etc.). It's a daylight robbery from the get go.

All old dumb strategies that already been tried and failed even when China was far weaker militarily, far poorer economically, far less united socially, and far less support and unity behind the ruling party.
Usa, sk, 17 UN countries already tried to fight China directly in Korea war in 1950 when china had nothing. They couldn't even make it to China border after China decided to join the war. In Vietnam war decade and two after Korean war, USA didn't even have the courage anymore to even have the courage to cross China's red line anymore. Which was to never step one foot into north Vietnam. Unlike Korean war, China didn't even need to "unofficially" fight directly and an "advisor" force and engineers force of few hundreds thousand with no direct combat for Chinese was ever necessary to make USA eat another defeat and again USA could again not even make it to Chinas border.
Then we have Afghanistan. China didn't even need advisors anymore, or even direct support or help or anything. Again usa lost and again usa failed to reach the Chinese border.

India invade China over the Himalayas and maintain supply line through it, while funnelling into China proper in a line and facing tb whole brunt of 1400 million Chinese at once with their complete developed infrastructure and high speed supply lines? As for causing internal division. Again everything's been tried, and all have failed, and after each time China has came out stronger and even used the "foreign funded/supported/backed separatists, extremists and terrorists" as justification to increase their own power and make the country more united behind the government in order to face a foreign threat. See Tibet in 50-60s until 90s, same with Taiwan until 70s and Nixon and USA recognized it was better to work with China and keep Russia and China apart. See xinjiang and uyghurs. See HK and rioters. All ended with China increasing their power/influence, enacting laws they otherwise probably couldn't have done easily(like national security law in HK), and in the end not only survived the color revolution attempt, but full on addressed the root symptom's and removed them altogether. From Islamic extremists in xinjiang, to independence or separatists extremists in HK, to dalai lama and his crony monk class who used to be the former feudal rulers of Tibet. China got rid of them all after they all outed themselves as hostile elements or even foreign backed traitors. Now all of them are in jail, or are in exile like dalai lama. Even dalai lama and India today recognize tibet as part of China and dalai lama admits working with CIA back in the 60 was the dumbest thing he ever did. We have people like Jimmy Lai in jail. Joshua Wong in jail. Nathan Law in exile, along with other self hating Chinese and racist/bigoted hk/canto ethno purists or just mainland/Mandarin hating Cantonese.
