He’s right, journalists are supposed to ask the difficult and unfriendly questions especially to experts who themselves have their own biases and persuations. The over all strategies of the country is apt to the current situation but what we are falling short is on the tactical level.
What China did during the recent incident is part of the broader military strategies in the disputed sea.
They employed "anti access & area denial" (AA&AD) in which they are succeeded from preventing the AFP to resupply their mission.
The problem is the AFP they don't know HOW to overcome or misread the Chinese reaction.

This is a belated comment. What about Risa and Gibo Teodoro and make Gibo handle the DND if they both win. We need somebody for the WPS.
PH has to do it NOW or NEVER. Send at least 50 boats with food and construction materials to Ayungin shoal at least 3 days/week. Send people who are strong and know self defense. These 50 boats should scatter around if approached by China boats. Get someone who is authorized to arrest trespassers...
