I love the simple technique you used. The others out there removed lots of other components which , obviously, wasn’t necessary. I also upgraded my bump stops at the same time.
I just installed the same coils on my 2016. It was soft since new and has gotten worse over the last 7 years. This made a dramatic difference. Your procedure was a lot simpler than others I saw. Not sure why some people take the wheels off and unbolt the sway bar.
You guys made my job A LOT easier. Thank you. I definitely need to do my rear shocks, Im having a lot of body roll on highways. I just hit 200k, so I definitely need a shock upgrade on my 2012 Ram 1500 Laramie.
I order HD variable rate springs from Simcoe Spring. Installing them next week. Thanks for the help. Other instructions have said to remove 4 sway bar bolts from axle. This looks easier.
Thanks for the video boys! Made quick work for me today! Kept trying to do it without removing the shocks, one quick watch of your video and I was done! Also knowing the path for the springs to come in and out made it easy too! 2 years later and still a helpful video! Any update for the springs? Still working good?
Yeah dog all good still running the Ram 50K miles and loving the rear springs!! Hauling lots of ass and wheelers and my 6x10 Brimar and it still rides great empty too! Let me know how you like them!
i figured it was just as easy as remove shock bolts and jack the truck by the frame. i plan to do this and add a 1.5" spacer to go with the 2" front lift
I just ordered a set of Tufftruck variable springs and was looking for some install info, awesome video, thank you very much!!! Some others disconnected the sway bay, I take it that is not necessary?
I have 2010 Ram, and I want to know if 2014 and 2009 springs have some difference? On Mopar site I see, that 2010 and 2014 rear coil springs have different part numbers, but some non-original springs are 2009-2018 and some 2014-2018. Would 2009-2018 springs really fit my car?
Thanks I got some tiff truck springs for my 5500 Dodge there 1.5” shorter wondering if I have the right springs it says on the box 55000 Dodge mines a tradesman edition I gave the lift shop all my info
Unless a person is prepping for some HEAVY tow weight, would there be any other reason to replace the coil springs, the ones on these Gen 4 Rams are pretty heavy duty to start with. Shocks and bumpers I can see, but unless coils are broke /wore out . ? Comments?
We have the big cab and big box option and the springs are pretty soft even with just an atv in the box. These springs are a must for any wanna be big truck guy. 😅
@@BrapStuff Ive had trouble with suspension on a few dodges. Id love to solve this once and for all. The right is sagging because I hit a really bad pothole front and rear. The truck has always sagged to the right side. Im sure this is the problem. Do springs actually lose their ability to hold the truck in the proper position?
This is how they should have come from the factory. It’s the perfect firm feeling. I will also be uploading a review with front and rear suspension…. Stay tuned!
What a crappy video Oh please don't show us the aftermath of the finished product oh please we don't want to see that we don't want to see where the truck sits with the new coil springs what a bunch of putts

i might do both my springs and shocks
but this is simple and straight to the point!

Mint.
Great.. not cluttered with unnecessary talking.

Excellent, I would have changed out the shocks too! That's what I was looking for in the first place and you's guys showed up! 👍

Brippity brop, the jacking don't stop.
I'm installing these tomorrow with 2" spacers and Fox 2.0 shocks.
Then Bilstein 5100 lifted coilovers in the front with JBA UCAs
That’s a great setup brap!

I have a 2020. Can I use this same method to change the springs?

can you swap the shocks without removing the wheels too?
You probably could but then you'd really have to jack it up high.
1:02 we fishin or wrenchin?
perch.... breaking the line... oh boy.
Does doing this effect ride height. I’ve got 1.5 inch level in the rear, and want stiffer shocks but the same level look. Thanks for help
50% stiffer, yahhhh buddy!🤟🏻

Is there anything to look for after installing the spring then lowering the jack
Has any installed these springs with a level kit? Do you need the rear spring spacers? My understanding being these springs lift the rear slightly.
I am running a 2.5" leveling kit in the front with a 1" lift in the rear with 34s. Ride height is great!
Sway bar removal necesary?
Did you ever find out? I was trying to look for that too but didn’t see them remove it. Thanks
@@TR1CKSHOTS31 yeah look at 1:15....., the bed stabilizer rods hanging down, isn't that attached to the stabilizer bar?
You keep calling struts shocks.. shocks don’t have a bolt, struts do. Thanks for the video, definitely helpful
The shocks are in the rear. The struts are in the front
Great video. Do you have one for the front?
YES!

@@snap1966 If the coil broke, then sure. Otherwise, highly unlikely.
How's the ride difference ?

@@BrapStuff did it raise the rear at all ?
Stock height maybe a hair because they are stiffer. I’d say maybe 1/4.” I added 1” spacers too beneath the coils.
@@BrapStuff awesome thanks bud
@@BrapStuffwhat spacers did you go with ?
Nice
do yours clank after install when going over bumps? I installed with bilstein 5100's and they make a lot of noise I'd sure like to fix if I could.
No clanking, clunking, squeaking, or anything out of the normal. I would highly recommend this set up to anyone!
Is your Ram the warlock edition?
Who loosens a bolt by turning the bolt and not the nut?!?
With dual ratchets it’s first come first serve. ;)
Brake line cables 🤦♂️

Do your own research on what springs and look you want. This was to show the install brap.
