We are living in an age where facts do not matter whether they're put in front of a person or not. That's not the game now. The game is just repeating a lie over and over and over until people are desensitized to it and just accept it. We are at a point with politics in this country where it is all about the feels and not about reality. This is something the GOP has always accused the Democrats of doing but have gone out of their way here lately to catch up apparently...

These potential alien voters pay for housing, for their utility bills, for goods and services and, meanwhile, their children are allowed to attend public schools. The argument being made is that with all they contribute to local society, shouldn't they also have some say-so in local elections and who should be on their school boards? The argument can be made either way on whether they get to vote. I just don't see this as a big deal.
I have family in Louisville. There was a string of bold carjackings in a solid middle-class suburban area. When Jamie called him out on it, I was thrilled. This man does his homework. He suffers no fools gladly. Way to go Senator Raskin!

I have so much respect and gratitude for this man. He was diagnosed with cancer. He may be in chemo. Yet he puts a suit on, shows up and delivers powerful messages on behalf of the American people.
That bandana makes it clear he’s going through chemo and is losing his hair. No ‘may be’ about it.
Yet he shows up and works with the truth.
And he doesn’t whine about hard the job is and that it is almost a full time job like MTG did the other day.

Amen. He has the same cancer as my husband, who had chemo and a stem cell transplant five years ago, after I myself had been diagnosed with ALS. That was our year from hell. But he has been free of cancer ever since, and is my blessed primary caregiver. His strength is just amazing. I’m praying for Jamie Raskin, his healthcare team and our country.
