I absolutely loved this. It was just what I needed to finish off the last few Christmas cards. I've used tape in place of the making fluid before, but have the trees masked off and ready to paint! I love how yours turned out. Have added a circle for a Christmas bulb by the biggest tree for a little extra holiday ambiance... I'm getting excited. Thank you for this tutorial!
Thank you for your tutorials. They are so clear and make me feel capable! I did the earlier tutorial of birch trees and was quite pleased with how it turned out. I recently got some masking fluid so I’m eager to try this one. Thanks again for your wonderful tutorials. ❤
Instead of using masking fluid one can use irregularly cut strips of masking tape. I've tried it. It works. But i understand that you wanted to give advice on how to use masking fluid. Thanks for the video - it is informative.
I love your videos Wendy. I'm new to watercolors and you give very good instructions. I did try this one with a slight change, I added two sheep in front of the trees. I'm very pleased with the outcome. Are we able to share our work with you Wendy? I think I remember hearing that we can but now I'm not sure.
@ Thanks for your feedback and sheep are a good idea 👍. O have a Facebook group for subscribers where you can share your work. Look for the link in the description……if you can’t find it get back to me. There is usually the word ‘more’ below the video that you need to click on 😀💕🌲
I made this into a card and I am very happy with it. Thank you

That sounds great….so pleased to hear the video inspired you on 😄 I hope the masking fluid is successful 👍💕
Good advice about the salt! I recently realized I was using too much salt and when I cut back, I got better results. Less is truly more!
@@beckypearson6236 yes I should have said maybe as much as you would sprinkle on a boiled egg 😄🤪🌲
I agree about the old salt. Happened to me. I bought new salt and all good!

Yes I agree….I have used something similar in the past and it can work well…..especially if you don’t get on with masking fluid 😀👍

Do you keep your paper flat?
I work at a low angle most of the time….for wet into wet washes I will usually work flat.
