I use Essence pretty often on jobs where the client doesn't want a full correction. Very curious to see what you think. Essence Plus is an interesting product, too. Does well on top of Essence and I'm going to stop right here.... :)

Apex Detail Hi Brian, why CarPro Essence, why not go with the Angelwax Perfect Polish? (Is it just for brand consistancy in the coating process or does Essence provide a better finish than Perfect Polish?)

Cool review, seems to be decent value for money. Have just bought some for a heavily swirled car, havent had chance to use it yet. Have used polish on a DA before, this will be the first compound I have used.

Thanks for your awesome videos. I repate this is my faivorate cutting compound it is great with lamp wool, foam and synthetic wool. but with Microfiber it is not good because it seems to dry fast and cover as a thick layer which will make it necessary to clean the pad every pass. I advise users to clean there dusting immediately after you finish work. dont wait after your break or next day. One of the best compounds used in the Mercedes factory and maintenance center.

Nice job! With respect to your comments regarding leaving enough clear coat behind to protect etc especially if the customer intends on keeping the car for years to come. With respect the owner of this vehicle, this is a beautiful high end car how on earth did it get in such poor state. I hope the owner looks after it better now. It's down to him how long the clear lasts I guess.

Good advice in this video.. Also good point of not going over board on removing to much clear.. As a newbie i'm careful and even afraid to let my Griot 6" polisher and orange lake country pad lay on my car.. May skip it this time around with my swirl marks in my hood and deck and just use something like Klasse sealant glaze to maybe hide and protect.

Hi i enjoy your videos, very intuitive, ive been trying to correct the finish on my 2009 E350 Mercedes and started off using Meguiars Ultimate with Hex Logic Orange pad, i just about did 2/3 of my bonnet and the pad was trashed, i got all the swirl out but it still left some minor scratches, the scratches seemed to turn into glass worms, you cant feel them with your fingernail but they are definately there and just dont want to be cut out. So i just ordered some Menzerna 400 along with a Lake Country 6" micro fiber cutting pad. Im hoping this will make the difference i need to see. This Menzerna 400 removes 1200 grit wet n dry scratches so surely it should cut through my scratches which werent deep to start with? The Mercedes clearcoat is like concrete, can i ask what your experience is of german cars and their clear-coats? Thanks very much

Question: you can put a 5" backing plate on the pe8?..I thought it was only designed for 3" backing plates..??..and if so how does she run with the 5" pads??..looks smooth..that'll save me money on buying the 14-2

    • @92F0XBody

Hung Nguyen for deep etching like that, if a polish doesn’t work (always start least aggressive) then try a compound with an aggressive pad. If that still doesn’t work wetsanding will be required. Follow that up with compound and then polish

I’m surprised that one guy with a self proclaimed 20yr experience over at obsolete garage I think his name is morman mat or mat moron (one of those two) doesn’t sell this product in his store. Fg400 is solid. Especially considering HIS paint correction process which he’s been using for years is somehow perfectly identical to the process used at Esoteric...(man what ever happened to honoring the source...wait that means no one would watch his vids since he’s never came up with a proven process of his own)..and esoteric provides and recommends fg400. Would have thought it would have been an easy NOBRAINer that the bald toofthless one would sell it too_th? Maybe it wasn’t expensive enough? Or maybe it wasn’t the right color? Who knows?
