Just getting into RC Crawlers and will be doing something similar to what you've gone through with trying to get the Cherokee body perfect. I've had close to 30 XJ's so a Cherokee body was a must...lol

I love XT60 connectors. I feel like the only reason to have the IC connectors is if you are using the spektrum smart system. The only downside i've noticed with the XT's is they have no dust shielding. If I'm in super dry dirt or sand, they can get dusty inside. On a side note, it's kind of funny, I think we are on a similar schedule with our builds. I did all my connector changes with the new motor/ESC and have been working on the lighting lately. I did get a test run in though. Can't wait to see yours on trail!
