- I brought the camera along for one of my favorite local loops. What chainring sizes does everyone prefer? Also, I'm pretty sure I messed up the exposure compensation setting so it was just at 0. It looks too shakey for my taste, but what do yall think?
Ditched the 32 on my Firebird for a 30... I rather spin than mash. When fatigue sets in, often I wish I had a 28.
Heck yeah man. Stoked to see the Rocky review! If I wasn't on my Spire that would be the bike. Just got back from Madeira with absolute moon dust so it'll be nice to be back on the spring PNW loam... Looks nice out there.
It’s a nice looking bike! I’m excited to have more time on it.
My bike came with a 34, when that wore out I put on a 32 oval and now Iam at 36 oval.
I always start my rides from home, so having the large ring is nice for the road.
1 second in and I gotta wonder if that isn’t the new Altitude.

28t on my Devinci Spartan HP 😂
26t 11 speed on my meta. No need for anything bigger.
32t has been my go to. 30t feels pretty awkward on tech climbs with no forward momentum gained. Live near Moab so yours and mine are opposites.
Great riding/narration and especially camera set up! Are you using Hero 12 shooting full sensor with a chin mount at 24fps? Some of you other videos look like a chest mounted gimbal. Curious as I want to try and mimic it! Also, I really enjoy your color grade - didn't know I needed a film aesthetic from an action camera but now I can't get enough. Subscribed! 🔥
Yes, this video was a chin mount with the Hero 12. I do use a gimbal with a hero 7 - just takes a bit longer to setup.
Ha! I'm on a high pivot bike, and def want a 28T for the steep climbs!
you got to be really ripped to ride 32t on 165mm cranks. I'm riding on 30t, but I don't have very steep climbs, so I get away with a 9-45 cassette
I’ve been running a 28 tooth AB oval for a few years. Definitely suits my winch and plummet, too. I don’t know anyone else running a 28, glad to know I’m not the only one 🤙🏻

If I had to do those climbs, I’d be on a 28t too. 32t here because it’s all up and down.

Went from 30 oval to 28 round. What 28 oval do you have?
I have a 28 oval. Pretty sure I'm never going back on my bike! I have the OneUp oval. I do wonder if it is hard on my clutch though...
@@SpencerAstraPOV my clutch worked like shit due to the oval chainring. Was riding 30t Absoluteblack one. Just put a 30t sram GX one - shifts MUCH better.
But I assume it's more of a shimano issue. GX is affected less by that
