- When I first saw this beautiful old log, with the perfect curve in it, I knew it had to become a whale tail. As it turned out, that was the easy part. The last big jump on the trail was not so easy to get right...

For most people, this is just another trail building video from their favourite youtuber. But through a filmmakers lens, I am super impressed with your story telling, and how you somehow manage to make it better every single video. I think you might have the best story telling channel on youtube.

If you feel that you aren't hitting it, you could cut off the landing at 17:15 so that you make it, which could help you to hit other jumps. I am also worried about the log moving over time which could make the feature unsafe

well done on the trail i notice that your jumping is quite right to help that bend down before the take off and push up while going up the take off if keep up the good work
We have to keep telling Yuka to learn to bunny hop so she can pop off jumps. It will make it all so much easier.
I’ve always wanted to go on a rant about how Yuka just needs to learn how to actually jump instead about going all dead-sailor but I don’t want to be rude…

Are you trying to built trail that dosent aquire pedalling because on my home trails some times you need sprint and hard pull to make it to landing
Where abouts in Tasmania is this trail
If you have enough speed to clear the last one just rolling down the landing of the whale tail, you will obviously over clear it hitting it at trail speed and when the riding surface isn't a sandbox/beach (if that ever happens since you built it out of sand despite showing us your easy access to what appeared to be some good clay).
I have ridden this trail it’s is so fun but the lips are steep

Why not just keep the log as the riding surface? With all the added lumber, the log is barely part of the feature and not necessary.

You should not have decked the log and you said it was going to be a drop off the end. Could have been a double black diamond feature but you turned it green. I'm 65 and wouldn't hesitate to ride that.
I'm just worried that it'll rot and lose structure and similar for the rest of the dead trees
Eucalyptus is rot resistant I’m pretty sure
For a trail that’s supposed to be intermediate, you’re having a lot of trouble, even when you can clear the much harder jump lines. If it’s intermediate, this jump line should be almost too easy for you.

the jump was fine before u chopped it just need to commit or boost it.
Jump looks small and the lip is still wrong, you've not changed the pitch very much just made it lip lower
I see your guy's trouble with jumping I've noticed you are very stiff in the air and not too confident. Sometimes you gotta just send it trusting your skills and learn to whip or do something in the air please 🙏
