    Im 6.1" 240 pounds (and I have a dodgy back). I test rode the bobber and my back was stuffed for 2 weeks. I loved the bike so much though I'm going to order one with comfort upgrades and hope for the best. Running purely on emotion at this point in time :)

      6'1" 240, what are you, a box of tungsten haha. I bet you won't regret it unless all ur trips are very far. With the comfort stuff, it may be tolerable for distance though. Let us know how it goes

    I got mine brand new back in early 2020 with no license yet, it was my first bike. My bro drove it home for me from the dealer. I did have dirt bike experience but never ridden a street bike. 14k miles on the Speedo now and counting. To anyone looking for a first bike, I highly recommend it. Shifts smooth, handling is easy and it’s low to the ground so you can get on and off with ease . I bought the manual and have maintained it on my own (fork oil change etc) you can too. After a few months of riding you wish it had more power but it’s enough to have lots of fun with. If you are deciding to get one, just get it.

      Could not agree more, and if ur looking for more speed after u get it, go buy a used R1 so u dont cry yourself to sleep if u were to slide on the used R1

    I got the new adjustable piggy back shocks. Life saver! The Ends Cuoio Tamahawk bags had to be adjusted with extensions i got from Lowes. Cost me $7 bucks. It raised the bags 2 1/2 inches and above the shocks. Just to let you know, with the adjustable shocks, you need to get extensions or no bags will fit.

    My 2021 scout bobber has a battery tender cord behind the ignition in the factory wiring.

    that's proposing but my biggest gripe is a 3 gallon gas tank take you a little over a hundred miles you better like riding alone

    • @convertableburt
      @convertableburt  ปีที่แล้ว

      That is one of the downsides, but it's an upside if u want everyone to see u every time u fill up. It's like an experience every time just to get gas. It is also called the bobber so not designed as the travelers bike

    The modern Bobber didn't come out for production until 2018 with the earlier production model being the Scout only.

      It was so long ago that i dont remember that fact. Thanks for the correction. I must have only seen the standard scout and still been entranced by its looks. When i test drove at the dealership prior to buying, it was a scout and not a bobber as thats all they had to test at the time.

    I love the wide front tire and wide tank look. I hate the small gas tank but nothing is perfect. I would never recommend this bike for new rider ever. it seems it has too much torque that may scare a new rider.

      Id agree if this is your true first bike...... unless the person is very committed to taking things slow and respecting the bike and what danger it can bring

    • @convertableburt
      @convertableburt  ปีที่แล้ว

      Get one! Or if you're nervous about it. Get the scout twenty bobber. With kess power and smaller engine. Then you could get the engine bore kit done later on, which makes it faster than the stock bobber or scout

    Mine got to 1200 miles. Shifted down into third and it went into neutral, shifted again to a massive clank then taps coming from the engine while in gear. Indian had my bike for 15 weeks until they had to replace the engine after 3 rebuilds. Finally got it back and they extended my warranty 5 yrs, I absolutely love the bike but man it sucked at the beginning

    You let strangers ride your bike??? Not buying that!

    • @convertableburt
      @convertableburt  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I wouldn't say strangers as much as people that i mostly know. Most strangers i offer it too usually turn it down. But my insurance will cover anything, even a drop as long as the rider me or anyone else has their license. It would just be a deductible of 500 so id make whoever i let try my bike aware of it and make them pay had they dropped or crashed it
