My understanding with the chrome heat shields on the exhaust with black mufflers is Indian has a major shortage on black ones. Instead of waiting for them and holding up the production line, they’re shipping the with chrome. I believe if you don’t like it you can tell your dealer about it and they will either pay to have the chrome ones powder coated black, or they’ll get you a OEM black set when available.
The 22 exhaust shield color is whatever one you want. The 22 I was gonna get was black. I ended up with the 22 scout rogue. A little more $ but worth it
Nice video. I also am a cheese head and have the standard scout version. I have owned several bikes, and never had one that checked every box. There was always some give and take. I got the scout because I no longer travel huge distances, and do not enjoy muscling a bigger bike around anymore. I agree some things are good to change and personalize or add to comfort. I have added sissy bar, and floorboards (modified exhaust). Thats really about all I plan on doing. Only problem I ever have is constant smile while riding it. Keep the videos coming. Mike
Appreciate the feedback, but im guessing by all of these suggestions, you are over the age of 40 or have poor posture/weak back thus needing an easier ride. If you want a touring bikes ride get one of them big harleys and wallow around, bobber is meant for looks and going like hell when you wanna race
@@convertableburt facts are facts. I own a 2021 scout and a 2021 scout bober. I've been riding since I was 5 and have never liked a rough ride. I have rode light cruisers since I was 20.
@@raytycker1656 "facts are facts", does that mean i was accurate about ur age/preference? Everyone's allowed to have their own look for yheir bike, got any pics of yours?
@@convertableburt sure every one has the right to have their bike the way they like. Yes I'm over 40 but I'm saying it was no different when I was 20. I rode a 700 shadow while a lot of my friends were into the bullet bikes. If you want a good ride out of the scout you have to upgrade.
@@raytycker1656 i get your point, and i have had friends whom have tried my bike and say the seat is too uncomfortable for them, but ive yet to notice or feel discomfort from the seat or handlebars apart from when i go on a long road trip, which i get cooped up in my car after two hours anyways, most of my riding is less than an hour. Minimalist looks best to me, so ill probably avoid the floorboards, i have been looking into smaller pegs though.
Sadly, those reflectors are actually required by law in most states. So you may be looking at a ticket in the future. Indian Scouts all look good to me and will be in the garage by the end of next spring if not sooner :) Ride safe.
The best part of taking the reflectors off your motorcycle is to make you invisible to other vehicles. Who doesn't love to get T-boned by a 10,000 lb truck.
Like about how much was it with taxes rn it’s like 13,146 how much more should I expect I’m having trouble deciding if I want to buy it used or new because used cost almost the same which sucks the bike is amazing my local dealer is iMotorsports in Illinois it’s amazing inside 😅
Can you order an Indian with an aftermarket exhaust… for example Freedom Combat 2 into 1? Will they install it? Indian Dealerships will not alter exhaust systems in California.
As it comes from the factory u cannot order it that way. I cannot imagine that ur dealer wouldn't be willing to order and install and charge u for it all on top of ur new bike. But maybe u get a good salesperson and get them to getbu the parts at cost or some free gear or something on top of it. Pretty much for anything thats not slip ons ur gonna need more tools for the bike to tear it apart and install combat 2 into 1, or radical exhaust urself. Or it's gonna be over 1000 for either of those to order and install them if u brought ur bike back in. Hope this helps, i just installed V&H 3 inch slash cuts(slip ons) and they are much louder in person than in the videos, plenty loud with great sound. Ill be posting video today
Great video and great info. I agree that you will alway have to spend money to modify a bike no matter how nice it is. I have been looking for one and I am coming across scouts that have at least had the exhaust modified and seat. I spend meticulous time shopping but you can find a great deal out there used.
The only thing I hate is cleaning it. I got the thunder black , It’s super nice clean, but day 2 already dust everywhere.. 2,000 dollars dollars cheaper though , And I got the 60 so that’s another 2,000 knocked off the price. I test drove both and couldn’t tail any difference.. the only difference is it doesn’t come with the bar end mirrors and the headlight casing.. I hate that there so small,, the 60 and this one are the exact same size. Where I live at none were in any dealerships to look at. So I ordered it by photo, This bobber looks good with out the fairing but the bobber 60 looks normal with the fairing. Because the fairing was originally made for the bobber 60 and not this. This one is made for the fatter head light cover. Bobbers look better with less stuff because of the small fenders. You need the one with full fenders to look good with bags and window . If I was going to compare riding it to another bike. Feels just like the 2005 Honda shadow ace deluxe. About same size to. The only difference is the old shadow had a reserve tank and 50 miles per gallon. And the scout way more power cuts threw heavy winds with no problem..And looks more Powerful, is more powerful and makes you want too go fast
Great vid, and just in time foe me as I plan to pick my bike this week. Totally agree on keeping the Bobber look by not adding the fairings. Also, I see you still have the stock seats, you may want to upgrade that to syndicate 2 up or solo or something better, I hear it changes the ride experience as it holds you better on your seat when you are going on throttle. The stock seats are pure garbage.
By the way, my 2022 model has heat shields and pipes all chrome. Hate it, but Indian said they they have shortage of black ones and will give me coupons to cover the cost to get them powered coated. I think they are purposefully doing this to make the Rouges look better.
Just dropped the cleaning video hahaha. More videos will continue to come, i have plenty of content i want to get to. Just limited time, so once summer is here ill be trying to post more hopefully.

Will do, i wouldn't say im a cheese head, skol vikes! Haha, but no hate for packers or packer fans is condoned
The seat the handle bars the shocks all suck on the scout bober replace thoes and you got a sweet ride. Floor boards are a must.

The new Indian scout rogue comes with a small front fairing and windscreen and it looks amazing. 🤷♂️
I believe ive seen one, isnt it a reduced windscreen and fairing? Pretty minimalist as far as fairings go?
@@convertableburt yeah it's not massive and fits the bike well. It pretty much resembles the victory octane...ish
Online they do look amazing, but I wonder if I would feel the same in person. Only one way to find out.

A syndicate 2 up seat can make a world difference for longer rides. Easy change out.
Thx ill check it out, since i predominantly do under an hour, but id love an essier ride for long riding days

Goofy is exactly right, I ordered my Bobber last week and went straight for the 2 into 1 combat
Monochrom beauty love the reflector delete

Use heat to get a sticker off. Hair dryer works perfect. Heat works way better than goo gone

Hates?
U got me!
“Flat head”……. That made me do a double take..
Flat head?
Get a bicycle and take it around the block, riders and bikers ride free with no complaints. “You’re a no no to the scout bobber”
So, clickbait title then.
More like an Asterix belongs at the end. Just go buy one hahaha
