    Just noticed my Walnut stopping recording and starting again as well. Love those happymodel motors... super efficient and have good power as well. Continue to rip it!

      Now i hooked up my camera to charge from fc really should've done earlier as i lost some good footage in the weekend due to the camera turning off without any reason. Seems to be working now.

      Walnut is a total bag of shit, gone through 2 of them and even the new one replaced by them is more unreliable than a GP

    Had my crux35 for 24 hours before smashing it to bits against a tree... Hoping this frame and a Caddx Ratel 2.1mm brings it back to life. Enjoyed this video!

      I used the Caddx Ratel 2 with this config after i broke my Caddx Ant. It's a good camera but you have to set it up as the factory settings aren't the best. I put this Volador frame through a lot of abuse and haven't managed to break it yet.. i feel like it's indestructible and i was ripped off by buying the replacement arms too :D I believe your quad will be underpowered with the Crux35 AIO and 1404 motors and sooner or later probably will lead to a burned down ESC. I'd upgrade to a 30-35A AIO or stack for sure. I burned down 3 of those 12A and 20A AIOs before i learned my lesson and that wasn't even on the Volador frame but the much lighter crux35.

      @@b2fpv oh dear! Doesn't surprise me as the Crux35 is super cheap, although to burn the esc on the original frame sounds weird. I have read a lot of positive long term users of the crux who hadn't mentioned this problem. If I do eventually burn the esc, I will upgrade... I have already been looking at the flyfish motors that are made to accompany this frame... After my crash, I will be surprised if she (FC/esc) flies again anyway! I'll keep you posted, the package should be with me this week. Thanks for the reply.

      @@Sk8WineMedia I had the Caddx Walnut camera on the crux35 so it was way heavier then the drone without a camera. yet it's about the same weight as the same build with the volador frame without a camera.

    • @Sk8WineMedia
      @Sk8WineMedia 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@b2fpv the Walnut is 60g, so makes sense. I had planned on using my gopro without a battery, but that seems like it will definitely fry the ESC on the new frame. The new frame plus the RunCam Thumb is around the same weight as the original frame plus Walnut. The Walnut is kind of heavy!

    @B2FPV Have you got the Brake on Stop feature enabled in the ESC?. If so, you can try turning that off since it could cause these micro-desync issues.
    That said, I had this issue only with the Crux35's AIO flight controller. I'm using a similar setup:
    - Volador VX3.5 frame
    - Caddx Vista VTX & camera
    - SpeedyBee F405 Mini (no problem with Bluetooth connection, very handy for Blackbox tuning)
    - Xing2 1404 3800kV motors (I have a few sets of Happymodel 1404 3500kV motors from Crux35 but did not want to cut off the motor connector)
    On 3S this quad feels a bit underpowered, I'm waiting for another set of 1804 3450kV motors to try out.

    • @b2fpv
      @b2fpv  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi! The misbehaviour was due to me setting up the minimum throttle too low. After setting it back to the factory value i never had the problem again.

    • @VAnhTu1987

      @@b2fpv Thanks for confirming, so it was a desync issue :) good to know.

    • @VAnhTu1987
      @VAnhTu1987 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@b2fpv The issue I had before was consistently reproducible on flip and rapid throttle cut to zero. I suppose the ESC probably failed to spin up the motor in time because with Brake on Stop enabled the phases would be energised in the other direction rather than coasting to a stop.

    Do you think 2006 motors will do fine with this frame? Got that motors from my old cinewhoop. Its a 6s but might use 4s for lesser power.

    • @b2fpv
      @b2fpv  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      honestly i think it`s overkill. don`t use 4s batteries. i`ve switched to 1804 since and even these ones cause crazy battery sag. i don`t even look at my battery levels when i fly as i get the low battery notofication straight away on a full pack with like 50% throttle. On the other hand they could work with a 6s. also the KV rating is very important. it tells you how fast the motor will spin on a given voltage. for 3.5 inch freestyle i`d recommend something like 3500KV for 4S and 2400KV for 6S.
      you can also use 3500KV on 6S just have to set a throttle limit of 60-70% of the original. If the KV is under 2400,you won`t be able to get good results for this size.

    Looks real good. Was thinking about that SpeedyB stack but still on the fence. Did the same build stuffed a Crux 35 in to that frame but I added the Walksnail 1s mini to it .Flys close to a 5 inch as I can get. Put the Insta360 GO 3 for my action camera. Mine flys great 4 now.. Thumbs up

    • @b2fpv
      @b2fpv  ปีที่แล้ว

      The SpeedyBee stack is amazing. i had a lot of problems with power drops and stability issues with the crux35 without even realising it. I only realised when i first flown the SpeedyBee stack and i just had this amazing power and smoothness on my hands that i've never had with the Crux35 AIO. Now after watching back all the recordings when i started spinning or moving randomly like in this video,i realised that it always happens just after i drop the throttle to zero. When i was setting up the speedybee stack the idle felt a bit too agressive and i set it down from 5.5% to 3% i think this must be the problem as it's probably low enough to stop the propeller completely in counterwind and make the gyro control in air mode go crazy. on the second flight when it happened i was in acro mode instead of air and it just pushed a bit on the drone instead of making it spin like hell so i really hope this could be my problem. i won't really have any time to fly until the weekend but i'll set the idle back to the default 5.5% and see if the anomalies dissapear.

    It's probably not that buuuut for what its worth: is your maximum ARM Angle [degrees] set to 180? You mentioned having this issue whenever you're upside down. Might be a simple oversight.

    • @b2fpv
      @b2fpv  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

    It feels like the CPU has stopped due to excessive load,
    Try adjusting in betafilght to keep the CPU at 50% or below....

    • @Grevil89
      @Grevil89 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I'm not sure about this one, since the crux uses aio and the stack here is different, but the crux came set up with a pid loop frequency of 4khz which gave around 66% usage, dropping it to 2khz resulted in below 40%. That could help.

      It wasn't a failsafe. I disarmed after it started spinning. The problem was that i set the minimum rpm too low on 3% when i was setting up the fc and it started stalling when i was falling upside down with no throttle. After i set it back to the factory 5.5% it never happened again.
