Damn! good for you! I guess when the creative juices are flowing they can't be stopped! Love your work! Keep it up but be sure to take breaks to avoid burnout! (though if you are like me with painting, you may not feel the need to take much breaks because the process is so enjoyable it's hard to stop). Tldr: Great story! No need to rush for us, we can wait!
No way man, it may not have been action packed like some of the other chapters, but I think this chapter is critical to the telling of the story. Although, I wonder what the coldness in the eyes of the princess was all about, could it be that she has a jealous streak, and the thought of someone taking advantage of our pilot angers her that much? Or.. perhaps something more sinister? Hhhhmmmmm.
I think you did great, not all chapters gotta be busy. Some gotta build up and establish. You have a gem here. And you’re writing it and releasing it as you go. Amazing
i see this chapter as character development and also helps color your world.

I have no idea why Wyatt would think the female nobility were not dangerous, he is after all in the company of a woman that can beat up a Royal Marine and a Princess who seems to make other nobles nervous.
However if we look back at say Elizabethan court there was indeed a lot of matchmaking carried out at court and often the greatest prizes were the nobles in the immediate circle of the Royal Family, so keeping Wyatt out of the clutches of one or more attractive young nobles is probably a wise move
I don't know, maybe he didn't really think about it or he thought they were an exception.

He’s wondering why in the context of his power and potential, why the female nobility *specifically* would be “the most dangerous and formidable foes”.
@@jblockminermc5401 I assume because classically most people do not expect them to be dangerous. Wyatt of course knows and has seen Cynthia in action, he is therefore actually well aware of just how dangerous some women may be and whilst he is rather devoted to Clara he also has on more than one occasion noticed that despite her beauty there is danger behind her eyes
@@davidorf3921you still don’t get it. While yes he has seen Cynthia in combat, aswell as Clara during *political* talks.
He knows how dangerous and tricky politics are. But, up to that point he never had any reason to consider just how dangerous the illusion of love can be utilized as that’s a common mistake most men make even irl (he’s been closed off for a lot of his life remember?).
That’s why after Clara explains to him, he says: “I suppose that *love* is not what they desire?” after he figures out why Clara turned the conversation in that direction. It’s a very, very obvious yet overlooked topic.
Next chapter we might find poor Wyatt suffering from more implants

Poor Sir Wyatt, i suspect he's never truly going to be at ease as a blue blood, & i can't help but wonder if Salazar Reid isn't going to become a problem further on down the line as he still clearly bares a grudge towards Wyatt for the loss of his brother Abaccus Reid, even tho he lost his life due to his own damnable glory hunting stupidity.
great point, I can easily imagine Salazar will try to challenge Wyatt to a duel, again. Luckily? Wyatt has Cynthia training him. The Winfields (hell their name is literally win fields) seem like demons, great warriors, and I assume Juliana is the youngest commander in the Prince's forces and she seems to be even deadlier than Cynthia. But it wouldn't surprise me if Salazar were to cheat in a duel.
@@travelingscienceman4404 I think Juliana is primarily a commander of larger forces Cynthia is more deadly in close combat but with more limited command skills, the Prince or maybe Clara said something like that they wouldn't send her out with anything larger than a boarding party
@@davidorf3921 true, but Redford said that Juliana is more rigorous when training others which is why I think Juliana might be the stronger of the two. Either way, messing with either is bound to end badly.

I love how Wyatt got a clue about the motivations of nobles in the military that I am sure will lead him to better understand and coach those under his command.
So the princess now points out his value AND names it his HOUSE. Looking forward to the author struggling with this - it is a hard topic to get right. But so far I am impressed. Shows it nicely out - he is ONLY a Knight, ONLY a new house, but DIRECTLY under House Aster. His title does not matter - he has the ear of the rulers and is highly valued by the princess, THAT is power. It is power justified - trust and friendship - but it still is power and lots of houes will want that. Plenty of higher houses that would give him a non-heiress (somewhere way down the line) to bind his house and get access to the princess. Also, he is not only that - he is also a VERY high valued ace - those people die, or get land and titles in a civil war. Feudal societies are complicated. He is now a minor - but actually not too minor - player - in the game of thrones.
Nice setup for a little affair - even if it never materializes.
How would Wyat be addressed? Sir like a knight, or Lord as member of a noble house?
Anyhow, the next chapter will be amazingly interesting.
That is the whole point of him being a Banneret, it creates a new house there and then, it saying this man is now a noble and all his legal issue will also be nobles, whereas a regular knight is a minor noble their children will not automatically be nobles unless they come from an already enobled family, traditionally this is a big thing, in the context of the Principality however it gets better, not only is Wyatt a knight but he is assigned to Princess Clara and as we see here, is permitted access to the Royal Apartment. Traditionally this would be the role of a privy councillor, that is to say someone permitted access to the private chambers of the Royal concerned and able to talk to them pretty much without restriction. That is a huge thing in this kind of situation and so yes you can expect major noble families trying to gain influence over Princess Clara to offer all sorts of incentives to Wyatt, and that includes a significant dowery if he were to marry one of their eligible daughters.. However Clara is far from being stupid thus her warnings to Wyatt
@@davidorf3921 Actually - you do realize that the whole royal procession is likely filmed like hell? It is the first reappearance of Prince and Princess after the little rebellion - so it is likely transmitted EVERYWHERE - including to his homeworldand not only his family (which may by now be watching for this) but also neighbours will see this.

@@davidorf3921 The more I think about it the more I realize - him being in this procession, one of TWO houses (there are 4 banners, but 2 are not relevant, house Astor and the Royal Marines) is an insane honour. There should be a number of other houses that did not make the Prince that the Princess could rely on. Heck, there are multiple noble houses just in her command. But no - she goes with the totally new house with zero relevance to the nobility. This is privy council level , it is a tremendous show of favour and it is going to create insane waves. Now, it totally IS justified - Wyatt IS a friend and IS someone the Princess relies on and trusts her live with - loyalty is in this case not its own reward, but IS rewarded. Still, I Really hope the author handles this new level of story well.
@@ThomasTomiczek I'm glad to see someone else is aware of just what the power of a Privy Councillor is. I think maybe Clara has decided that the friendship growing between herself and Wyatt is worth nurturing, She needs people she can trust, all she really had before Wyatt turned up was Cynthia who from this chapter appears to serve both as bodyguard strike team leader and ladies maid, classically a princess would have multiple ladies in waiting and maids yet Clara has none save Cynthia it seems.
Wyatt by his honest actions has been given a well deserved jump in social standing, a knight banneret of the royal house would in itself have been a huge increase in status, but he also is apparently one of only two people Clara grants the effective status of Privy Councilor to, by convention such advisors would normally be of senior rank,
Personally I think the story will at some point go one of two ways, either Wyatt ends up with Princess Clara or with Cynthia, if it's Cynthia he will end up with a nice little territory somewhere and a noble status of probably Marquess or Earl. If on the other hand he ends up with Clara then he's likely to end up a Duke with a larger portfolio of interests and I would not be surprised to find him on the border with the Drazzan which I suspect would be their worst nightmare LOL

I just gave another listen to this episode, there was one thing I missed my first listen through of it. The description of what Wyatt is wearing mainly what is holding his cloak to his armor, a red pin I’m kinda thinking that the Princess is thinking of Wyatt’s house and Cynthia s house merging or was I reading to much into it.

Wyatt checking out Clara's succulent fruits, his introduction to basic economics, surviving the royal procession, and - soon enough - his introduction to the realities of noble life.
It still gets me that Reid isn't fazed by Abbacus' actions, given the evidence. In any military worth its salt, Abbacus would have been imprisoned or shot for disobeying the direct order of a superior officer under combat conditions and gross insubordination.
Are you really trying to apply logic on holier-than-thou "my image and the standing of my name is more important than facts" nobility?
@@ekhidna4 Law, OK. Logic, not so much. Salazar really does come off like a spoiled brat more than a professional soldier.
It really seems like Wyatt is in it to win it, while the nobles are fighting for brownie points.

@@ekhidna4 I would like to take a separate moment to thank you for your hard work and let you know I enjoy and appreciate it a very great deal. It's easily the best story I've seen in over 20 years. There is a depth of vision guiding things that will keep this story not just going but coherent and enjoyable for many episodes to come.

Excellent chapter, my only critique is that Wyatt should have easily grasped the idea of compound interest. The warning against unmarried women was the best part. One day while on call as a med student in the 80s, I was awakened by a good looking naked nurse straddling me. I lied and said I was too tired, turning over until she left. I never mentioned it to others.
Later I called my parents and told them to find me a wife. My parents both knew me and loved me; whom better to look? I was not only in med school, I was the ONLY student with a job (30hr/week). How I managed without drugs, not even coffee I don't know.
The first 4 I rejected but #5 I'm still happily married to 40 years, 4 kids. I married as a virgin to a virgin. To this day she still gets goosebumps when I was hug her tight. Sometimes, she calls me sir.
Biology doesn't change just because of ideology. Like gravity, biology will base you.
Really good chapter because it is based on actual normal human biology. Too many stories these days promote the absurd.
Nice we get a detailed description of Macha and the surrounding area around the planet. Interesting the planet Macha has something so technological advanced in having an orbital ring around it. I have a feeling that the planet has had extensive terraforming to mold it into a certain noble's perfection in the distant past.
This chapter once again makes me think Clara has so genetic or cybernetic implant that allows royals to see into the surface thoughts. Though i think it only works to a degree, considering i have a feeling that thers some sort of countermeasure to it. Otherwise Clara or the Prince would have taken part in the interrogation of Frederick Anderson.
I was surprised that Cynthia didn't tease Wyatt for how Wantom implying that Cynthia might be Wyatt's girlfriend 😂. I do like how Clara explaining a problem much of Astorian Nobility does not have proper training with how to manage money.
I do like how Clara explaining why she didn't want him to transfer more than 400,000 credits. Its interesting that the Astorian government only pays attention to credit transfers of half a million or more. That's way higher the USA 🇺🇸 where its transfers of 10,000 dollars.
I do like seeing Wyatt trying to understand the stock market. I do like how Clara did her best to teach Wyatt about Economics and ends up investing 💰 most of Wyatt's money for maximum profits 📈.
I do like how protective Clara is with Wyatt by telling him to stay by hers side. So to prevent people from taking advantage of him and many noble's wanting to connecting his house with theirs. I am not surprised that Wyatt has yet think that many noble women would be presue him.
I am not surprised that Wyatt would be unnerved by the turn of the conversation about warning the dangers of unmarried noble women wanting him. I am not surprised Wyatt has gotten bit entranced by how beautiful Clara is dressed up for a party. I do like how Wyatt compares the casual Clara to the master manipulater Clara.
I do like the tense scene where Wyatt and Salazar Reid exchanging glares. Glad we get to see finally through procession that Wyatt has been training for and how it pays off for Wyatt's hard work.
I do like moment that Wyatt admits to himself that Clara and Cynthia are his friends. That now he realized it's OK to have friends again ☺️.
I was surprised that this chapter dropped so soon after chapter 30.5 on Saturday which was only 3 days ago. It will be interesting to see how Clara has to protect her precious hero from the many ladies wanting a piece of Wyatt!

With each chapter the story becomes more real thru your development of the main characters. Looking forward to the next installment.

I am glowing, hearing this masterfull chapter. I don't knw, if you are indeed inspired by the old stories. In old englsh and old german myths, cordial rituals talke longng and heavy verses, continuing for pages, descriptions of banners, manirisms and wardrobes. You not only describe any fashion choice, you take this kind of style and enrich it through our modern lens by substituting the subhective inner monulogue of our beloved protagonist, elevating your story to an artistic level beyond allmost all of our media envoirnment. This chapter is a loveletter to culture itself. Thank you so much for your culture, for paying us, me, for what we deemed you to be capable of in reaching by loving your story, your characters and your protagonist.
A second chapter this week what a wonderful treat. The author ✍️ continues to develop our hero Wyatt. While a skilled pilot and strategic thinker, he has no concept on how the world works. Clara will teach him the ways of wealth and how to navigate the halls of power and political intrigue, and the heroine in Red Armor will hone his skills to navigate the physical challenges associated with Nobility. Looking forward to the next chapter, Thank YOU 🍾🥂
Great Story love the interaction between Wyatt, Cynthia and Clara. I hate it only has 32 chapters.
It's far better than how this series started. This story was a short story originally only 4 chapters long and abandoned by the original author. SciFi Stories came acrossed it, wanted more of the story, looked for someone to continue it and ended up with EkhidnaWritez picking up the mantle. 😊
This is my favourite series by far and always comes out just before I finished work and I get to have a nice de stressful day listening to amazing story
The development of the 3 characters, Wyatt, Cynthia, and Clara is truly a masterful exposition. I love it. But I can't help but feel that the author is writing a budding romance to develop later. The question is will it be Clara and Wyatt or Cynthia and Wyatt.
or will there be a falling out between Clara and Cynthia over Wyatt? Jealous betrayal? The possibilities could be endless.
I'm more keen on Cynthia and Wyatt more because at any point if she wanted to she could kick his butt stepping out of line. But him and Clara seems to be outside of norm and stepdown from royalty

@@davidorf3921 lol, that's true, I have seen some ai do great things, and other ones produce things more akin to eldrich horrors. The channel owner uses a good ai and puts time into making sure things look fairly correct so I have no complaints. I just think of the horrors other ai have made.

Since Clara did warn him about women it seems to me the author has to have some sort of royal ball were Wyatt is going to be forced into a situation where he is surrounded by women. At same time be put in a situation where both Clara and Cynthia are forced to leave him alone.
the author did sort of foreshadow the situation a bit
I wonder if Cynthia will be his rescuer at the ball as it would be considered beneath Clara's station to intervene, then this would bring Cynthia and Wyatt closer
@@terrywilson1226 problem is that she is part of a ducal family. Even if he is a knight banorette of the ruling family even he can't touch someone of a ducal or royal family. If anything Wyatt likely will find a female noble at risk of the drazan and save her with the noble lady falling in love and Cynthia and Clara allowing it
As far as ducal families they either marry royalty and go up a rank, marry another ducal family and stay even, or marry a level down which would be counts, earls and margraves. They wouldnt marry baron, viscounts or knights unless extreme circumstances such as a pregnancy were involved, or the individual was an unstoppable juggernaut that would be getting promoted multiple times.

Around 13:00, Cynthia kind of expressed the opinion that she thinks Wyatt is gay. "He doesn't seek the warmth of a lady to comfort his bodily desires". About then I ask her "What do you think I seek to fulfill those desires"? He is scared to death of her, so it didn't come up. They were trying to tell him he's gonna have a lot of women trying to jump his bones for personal gain.
I think she was having just a little fun at Wyatts expense, a few weeks ago he was a commoner now he appears to be the only male allowed into Claras private quarters, so of the only two women he sees on a regular basis one is a combat monster who beats him up on a daily basis and the other is royalty, I think he needs a lot more confidence in his new role before getting romantically involved with either of them LOL

Note for the author if they are reading the comments: It's "awestriking" not "awestrucking". Awestruck is a weird word as it's always in the past tense, but that also means you do not add 'ing' to it. It's unused present tense version is used to do that (which kinda makes it used in this sense! lol).

My question is will Wyatt and the princess ever, have a relationship. So far she has shown interest in him as a person and friend, however who knows if that could change to something more.
I'm going for 90% chance he will end up with either Clara or Cynthia, currently 60:40 in favour of Clara

@@genemcintyre5352 well it is a story about a Royal Family and marriages for allegiance are not unheard of, I'm hopeful for young Wyatt however, firstly Clara has in addition to her brother "The Prince" another older brother and sister I believe so she is not likely to get to sit on the throne without a lot more bloodshed occuring, but this also means she is less likely to have to marry to cement an alliance. Secondly there have been various comments made about her that suggest at the very least most nobles do not trust her which also means political marriages are less likely, lastly she is a[pparently the Prince's favourite sister, so if anyone has a chance of marrying for love I then I guess it's Clara. For what it's worth I think if Wyatt does not marry Clara then he will marry Cynthia

The AI generating images was clearly having some issues wrapping it’s head around the idea of an “orbital ring” at 1:20. I assume the intent of the author was an artificial space station that extended around the planet in a ring. Possibly with orbital lifts, like what we see in a few science fictions from time to time.
