My man said "Air bubbles you will GET OUT OF THESE BRAKES AMEN". For all the people saying you didn't "invent" anything I don't care. Video was straight forward and now I know how to bleed my brakes so thank you.
Blasting the oil in hard will cause micro bubbles! Makes oil effervesce. Firm consistent pressure.
I have wondered about something similar for Shimano brakes.
The technique Park Tools says to do has dozens of steps. I don’t understand why we cannot use two syringes to push and pull the fluid.
Doesn’t it seem like you can build a very pump with low power to attach to the lever and push the fluid to the caliper and out to be disposed. That way you can close the caliper bleed port with some pressure.
Hayes actually recommends you do a push-pull method
While this technique seems like it is more applicable for everything, SRAM’s pressurization method is FAR more effective and necessary for getting the higher end brakes to perform properly without blowing the master cylinder!
If the master blows out from a tiny syringe pressure, then it is already bad. Maven’s are plagued by wondering bite point.
Every step of the video pulled bubbles out, 2 less steps than Sram official.
I couldn’t even follow what park tool did
@@OtterXtra I disagree with the issue on the Mavens. After setting up 5-10 of them, i feel that it just takes a good pressurization at the lever, and a proper negative pull to remove any air. While some of the techs i work with have blown a master cylinder on fresh brakesets, i’ve seen it happen most if you pull a vacuum too hard or try to pressurize the caliper. Regardless, it’s still important to de-gas any DOT fluid because it stores air naturally.
@@AtxcmtbIt is all about helping people. The Maven wondering bite point has about 5 problems area's people are reporting on, the levers are introducing air to the system, I am guessing Sram's crap manufacturing. From my home mechanic experience the more expensive the brake the harder it is to bleed, MT401 takes about 10 seconds
Hmm..., I can attest to this this, but mixing the Dot soaked old with the dry new on srams, Not sure about that.
I've been thinking of doing exactly this, with 2 syringes, instead of pushing and pulling with one. Now that i see it in practice, I'm gonna do this soon on my Magura...man are they a pain to bleed 😑
Do this on a Shimano brake and you WILL tear the delicate diaphragm in the lever.
Did it on wondering bite point XT fixed it.
Interesting technique. ... There is no H is SRAM. It's not Shh-ram. It's Sss-ram.
s-Ram
@@OtterXtrano...totally incorrect. SRAM is an acronym comprising the names of its founders. Thus it cannot be s-ram.... It wasn't one person called Simon and another called 'Ram' 😂
dont push as hard as u can lmao u will ruin the seals. also maybe put a little more oil in so u can get a full bleed instead of a "half bleed"?
I find this video to be 1:1 copy of official SRAM brake bleed, except it has much more unnecessary words and SRAM is mispronounced as "Shhhram".
First of all, you have obviously never bled Sram mineral brakes.
2nd it is not a copy
3rd Watch the end of the video to see why it is not
s-ram is the proper way to say it right?
Pretty much how u bleed sram dot brakes, but they use a vacuum technique to get those micro bubbles out way better than this technique
From the SRAM website... SRAM is an acronym comprising the names of its founders.
Thus it's SRAM, not s-ram or scchhram. 🤟
You didn't "invent" anything.😂

@@OtterXtra watched the entire clip 👍
Sram park tool wants you to pressurize the system with the syringe, just blast the the fluid up cures the final bubless
He invented doing something we've been doing since day 1 of hyro disc brakes.
@@kevinmoorejr.9418 dog it’s a hybrid bleed of seam and Shimano
