Plenty of things. -Early game cars from the Cavalry to the Opus were pretty fast. In later updates, Criterion nerfed all those early cars and some were redistributed as DLC. -Filters for damage and crashes and heavier crash physics -Vehicle engine sounds were normal here. They were changed in later updates for who knows what reason. It's just the version with the best presentation of paradise compared to later updates.
There's a lot more than that but what I've said now was just off the top of my head. 1.0 is just a whole different version of what paradise used to be compared or the later versions of paradise we're used to. Criterion changed it up by a lot but who knows for what.
@@DJKevin97 man you'd think a remaster would be the one with the better presentation but sometimes that's just not the case.I struggle to find any other example outside of metroid prime where the remaster is the definitive way to play ( if you don't count speedrun exploits.)

Wow I want to play burnout paradise 1.0 online
What about 1.0 is different from later patches or releases? i would assume QoL stuff like restart event but i'm curious.
