I just unlocked her but haven't tested her yet but i enjoy warspite a lot and even thought it's less resiliant than Bayern, she make up in guns reliability in my opinion, i also put Jack Dunkirk to reduce turrets rotation to 51 seconds.
Yeah Jack Dunkirk is necessary for a dedicated captain or serious pre-planning of engagements! Not a very dynamic ship for a ship with so many secondaries and such good maneuverability!

I was surprised that Queen Elizabeth didn’t have her WW1 design or her 1920s modernization (with the truncated funnel) as her Hull A, and have her 30s modernization design (what she has in-game) be her Hull B, seeing as USS Wyoming and SMS Bayern all have their WW1 design for Hull A, and Hull B is their WW2 design (except for Bayern, who gets a ‘hypothetical’ modernization; Colorado even gets her aft lattice mast changed). Then again Iron Duke looks exactly the same with her “hypothetical” modernization look and her Hull A and Hull B look the same, even though they could’ve have her original layout be Hull A, like they did with Bayern. Then again, the only armament Iron Duke had that they gave her in-game is her main guns lol (they gave her HMS Erin’s casemate 6" guns instead of her Mk VIIs)
There are a lot of "what about isms" in WoWs... the propensity of certain ship lines to receive artificial upgrades at WG's behest is pretty high... See: The entire Soviet tech tree. They claim it is for balance purposes... but.. well.. you know the rest of the story! ;)
Whiskey's Gaming Lounge The Soviet Izmail battleship has the most bewildering design for the placement of its twin-mount secondaries... I just wish they Iron Duke had her WW1 layout for Hull A like Bayern does or just flat-out keep it that way like with König. I’ll be honest, Iron Duke’s in-game appearance with that single, fat funnel is pretty ugly. QE’s WW1 layout for Hull A would have been cool too. But then I guess she would look a lot like Hood, save for the low deck and whatever those openings are on Hood’s sides are.
@@Aelvir114 A lot of the WWI hulls were removed from the game because of balancing issues. The Wyoming used to have her WWI hull as her base hull and she was, unsurprisingly, bad. I think WG could make a fun game mode by bringing back these WWI hulls are making them a separate submode in the game.
With this ship every time I want to swap the guns from right to left I seriously look at whether I can just turn the ship all the way around instead. I picked the "traverse acceleration" for two of the equipment upgrades
Good review. I never understood why these ships take so much damage but I was expecting the British Repair Party to be like the Warspite/Minotaur's the whole way through the line. This was really lacking till Lion/Conqueror in my opinion. At least the AP is stronger than the HE at it's tier due to over match.
Thanks for the vid loads of info. Why does your game look so different from mine? When your firing, you can like zoom in the a 3D image and see in better detail to aim and check the rounds raining down on the enemy ship. Looks cool 👍… is that just the difference between free and premium I wonder. I’m plying on an iPad also.

Shes far better than Iron Duke. I improved my performance from 46% to 62% in battles. Her guns once fully upgraded and have the right booster improvements are good and very accurate once you get use to them. Sitting far off and picking off ships are a very sweat advantage with the ship.

nothing like the Orion ( a beast ). I have to go through all this shit to get the Conqueror and by that time I bet you they gonna nerf it. also I think the queen is an improvement over the Iron Duke what a piece of crap my goodness , I sold it as soon as I got the Queen.
The Duke is tough but slow to turn, accelerate, rotate turrets... it can be frustrating to try and stay part of the engagement and not get left behind. Also - save your coal up for the Thunderer. A very nice ship indeed, like Vanguard on steroids.
You are probably over extending or exposing too much side to the enemy and taking a lot of damage! Try not rushing in as fast and exposing less broadside and see if that helps any! :)

Battlecruiser is similar length to a battleship, similar guns to battleship, similar engine power and engine design to a battleship. But less armor thickness and therefore less weight, resulting in better speed and less ability to stay in the line of fire (from heavy guns) without being sunk
How to play? Just get sunk. With its 20-second rudder shift time, the first DD that surprises you, sinks you. Ever shot that comes in shreds you. Meanwhile all you do with your guns is to get the enemy's deck wet as dispersion makes everything go short-long/left-right. What does his, tends to bounce and shatter. Which means you're another fire-spamming British BB with limited use since to get in range, you have to be torpedo bait. And, of course, with the meh repair party... I thoght the Iron Duke sucked. But this is a bigger disaster.
You have to get past the underpowered KGV and Monarch, unfortunately. The problem for the King is that it has those 14” guns compared to its counterparts that have 15-16”, it gets no advantage in speed or reload, and it struggles when it takes on any higher tier opposition. Monarch... urgh. Boost through it as fast as your flags and bonuses will let you then sell it off to be cut up into razor blades. Lion is much better, albeit a bit of a slug. Ironically, the premium ships HMS Nelson, HMS Vanguard and HMS Hood are much more enjoyable but they don’t help you get up the tech tree. Even the Duke of York is so-so.

Nimitz_Warship : I find QE guns almost as accurate as Warspite’s which are great. But QE armor is more consistently good.

WG has fkd up some very good tough hard hitting ships of the Royal Navy both Battleships and Cruisers, they've done similar to the US line as well

Agreed. The AP definitely benefits from the Overmatch mechanics! HE is good, but honestly the AP was better for me.
Question: They just rereleased Warspite for about 30$, is it worth getting over the QE, or any other premi that is currently out, or might come up?
Way late, but Warspite turns way tighter than QE and has much better accuracy
It's just a warspite with very much better AA if you spec for it.
Yea - pretty good ship but the turret traverse is the biggest difference between sister ships.

Ehhh... I don't think so. QE has far too thick of armor to be a BC and she's far too slow. She's fast for her age, but she isn't that fast.

I am slogging through hoping the KGV is better. But I am going to watch its review next. If it SUX, then I am giving up on the British BBs
