Just got my Gen8 V2 a month ago ran it stock for a week. Saw your video did the upgrades about to put the motor in but moving everything forward and squishing in the bumpers, my local spot I made it up about 100 yards farther than I did stock Love your channel
Tucked my bumpers a while ago. Don't think it was RCTNT that I seen it done from but a Fakebook post on the G8 page if I'm not mistaken. Have watched a few of his tire comparisons vids. Good stuff. I've thought about changing the W/B a bit, but so far, haven't tired yet. may get another one at some point and make a Scout II Truck from it.
Another great video!! Love the Gen8v2 I've had mine for a couple months and the upgrades keep adding up. I also lengthened the back as well. You do have the clean up the fender flares with the stock tires but I did that anyway to make the front ones look more square like the back. Those tires look really good on the truck. They are alot wider than the stock and give it alot better look.. I also really like RC TNT he has alot of good videos. I see this channel and his going to the top soon...
Thanks much for the feedback and great info regarding the stock tires and trimming! I’m digging the Growlers on this rig as well, mountain side run footage should post this evening, spoiler….. they performed excellent!
OMG i looove your vids! Such great, chill content, and your voice fits the serenity perfectly! Im in San Diego and thinkin bout grabbin those tires for my scout - there are so many Pitbull Growler AT's though - not sure what scale you went with , etc - any way you could let me know exactly wich you have (that is, if you still like them!) thanks so much for the awesome vids - my favorite RC channel !! :)
Thank you! Here is a link to the wheels….Dilwe RC Wheel Rims, Alloy Beadlock Wheel Rims Hub Compatible with TRAXXAS TRX-4 1/10 RC Crawler Car( White) www.amazon.com/dp/B084Q8DMXC/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_i_A0B3DMD2Q4WK6CVQ0ZVW
Oh yes they are a perfect fit on the Gen 8! They are the pitbull Growler AT. Very cool quality tires, they get better as they wear in and the size and scale fill the Gen 8 wheel wells nicely 👍
Don't laugh I'm new to this LOL the link underneath that you moved to the farthest up hole my link is closest to the bolt head and I'm pretty sure in the video your spacer is closer to the bolt head so should I change it to the way you have it I bought a second hand and that's the way it came to me
Tuff call, I would think the question is….”is it a stock link?” If you feel like it’s the original link but the coupler is backed out i personally would tighten it back down. Unless for some strange reason it is compensating for something else that has been adjusted by the O.O. Best of luck, it’s hard to mess this hobby up, just tinker with it to your liking!
The wheelbase extension got me thinking. Nice idea and your truck looks rad! (Thanks for the shout-out! I aspire to your production quality!) Cheers
Great work my friend, Excellent RC 👍😀💪

Great tips. Love my Gen8V2 but it does get hung up on the bumpers quite often. I guess I've got to get the tools out now.😄
Grab a coffee and a hex wrench, you’ll be done before the coffee needs a refill! Cheers mate!
Great mods! Something to note when I buy my Gen 8👍
Just found your channel. Great tips others aren't talking about. Thanks!

Thanks my friend! I think you’ll like the tires, the look and performance is spot on with these
Hi, friend! What size tires are on the car, how many millimeters?
These are Pitbull Growlers in 1.9” size. They work really well on the Gen 8
What rims are those? Nice job trimming the inside of the wheel well, looks great!

Looks great!!
What tires are those exactly? They have the best scale look I've seen so far for the Gen 8 (V1,V2, AXE etc).

Nice rims!✌
Thanks! They go nice with the vintage for sure 👍
