      I bought the RGA but had to return it after a few weeks. The trem was just rubbish and would never hold tune. There were 4 of them at the Guitar Center, two were returned and the other two physically felt like other guitars. I get that wood won't always be the same, but these were so drastically different for what should have been the same guitar (like twice the weight in one case, dragon eye vs blue). I'm guessing my local store just got a bad batch, but do I ever miss that guitar. It was so beautiful and played like a dream for the few chords it would stay in tune for!

    Hey people, it's not because you don't like the tone that it's bad. I can tell - as a soundman and producer - that this tone is very well sculpted to achieve this particular sound and feel. Do I like it? No. Is it the tone he's gonna use for Saturday night life? I don't think so. But it gets that Steve Vai feel, and it's what inspires him the most. And it's way two 80's "over-the-top-all-pedals-on" style for *me*, but that does NOT mean it is a "bad tone". This person is an exceptional pro. Respect that. Please. Your personal opinion about his tone is... personal. Plenty of people like this kind of 80's over-the-top tone. I'd say if anything, he should roll-off that treble. The auto-wah sounded awesome IMHO.

    • @marike1100
      @marike1100 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Listening on headphones, the tone is bright, maybe not recorded as well as it could be, but I wouldn't say it's terrible. Keep in mind this is a low wattage practice amp. The funk wah sound was pretty awesome.

    • @RogerSanderson
      @RogerSanderson 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Even then that amp is made to sound amazing & I got such good tones out of this one & the 50 watt. Even that one can be used in venues due to the tone & the DI out.

    I will stay with my Ibanez Roadstar series bought it brand new 1984. And it still plays well today push push call tap is the only thing I can't get anybody at Ibanez to tell me where I can buy some replacement push push. They tell me they have switched to push pull

    • @jas_bataille
      @jas_bataille 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      They have switched to push-pull because players who play whammy bar a lot want to go flat AND sharp, man. Come on. Steve Vai requested it with the JEM a long long time ago.
