Can anyone tell me how to get into the arm/bed of a 730 artista. I lost a small piece of pipe cleaner out of stir stick back in there while I was cleaning.....just thought that was a cool thing. Looks like a place to pry on front, but afraid to with out some input from someone who has done it before.

there should be a very small lever just inside and to the left of the inside of the entrance to the bobbin case. flip it and the top of the free arm will pop up. carefully pull up and left to remove it. This is sent by the wife of the computer owner.

@@MasinskiKutak i need to replace the plastic vertical shaft bevel gear which is cracked. The horizontal plastic cam worm gear is also crack broken but I can replace it later as I don't need embroidery stiches for now
@@dreamlessfull Yes, it's a pretty complicated job for amateurs, when replacing the vertical gear, adjust the hook time with the two screws 98 and 99, fig. 7:01 Next, Position the needle in the middle, set the needle in the downward position, then lift only 1 mm and place the hook in the middle of the needle, tighten the two screws 98 and 99, good luck. 🙂

Yes, this is often a problem, dry old grease,
try to use a degreaser in spray,
or disassemble and then thoroughly clean and lubricate.
