- Summer solstice, a year after we tried this camp we finally nailed it down. A perfect weather window appeared and we seized the opportunity. With the days booked off work Stephen and myself set off into the Mournes and took on Slieve Commedagh for a nights camp.
Once again thank you to @stephensophietracygrace626 for tonight’s cracking thumbnail 👍

Quality camp, some location with some inversion chasing, fantastic. The 'tank' , I'll need to name mine now.
Cheers for that mate 👍. Yea Stephen loves chasing them clouds for photos. I think I could have came up with a better name for it but the tank is here to stay ⛺️.
In my 43 years I've seen some sights that have shocked me, but to see your brother running has absolutely rocked me to the core.
Hahaha he actually bolted past me, I thought at first it was a gust of wind but then this blur just went wooshhh past 😂 😂
@@GeoffGreenawayOutdoors devastating over four or five yards
Good one lads class camp I'm sure that pint of Guinness give yous a bit of energy for the hike up lol. Another great vlog Geoff, love them pictures at the end 👌
Cheers Adrian, brilliant night we had. The Guinness was a lovely treat to start the day off right. I will pass it on to Stephen about the photos. Thank you for commenting 👍
Well done lads, Commedagh is a good wee camp spot, some views
Thank you Noel 👍, definitely is and we got some decent views when it cleared up at times, just a pity there was hardly and sunset or sunrise but it stayed dry so can’t complain. Cheers for watching 👌
Well done to you both on your latest wild camp. Those photos at the end were top class. Listening to the football and cooking steak meant you brought all the home comforts with you. Great effort all round. Regards Ashley
Cheer for watching and commenting 👍. Yea Stephen loves taking the photos he could do it all night and I think did that night 😂. We need some home comforts on a camp but the steak might add a few extra grams onto the pack.
the steak was a quality touch!!
8:05 lol. You never did gel with it. On the look out for a tent myself atm. Lanshan , tarptent and durston on the shortlist. Happy camping Geoff.
Hahaha 🤣 no I never did feel the love for the Lanshan but Stephen bigs it up so I wouldn’t put anyone off buying it. If your looking lightweight I’ve just watched a video on the naturehike vik 2 you call it, looks impressive. Same to yourself ⛺️ 👍
Nice one bud, love that pitch although only ever camped on the other side of the wall due to wind direction.
Some tramp up with the big bag but definitely worth the effort. Great watch Geoff 👍
Ps. Stephen’s cover photo shot is a blinder!!
Thanks very much mate. I hear you about the tramp up, but we could have cut the weight without carrying water because of the pipe up there. We had planned the other side of the wall but the wind wasn’t playing ball.
@@BestlifeWildCampingBushcraft I will pass this on, he will be buzzing. Thanks so much 👍
Excellent 🙂
Thank you very much. We really enjoyed this camp, unfortunately the weather did play ball all the time but what can you do. Cheers for commenting 👍
@@GeoffGreenawayOutdoors Crazy weather over here. Constant rain then mad heatwave. Wife and I off on wild camp today on Welsh border and now its dull and overcast!!
@@brumlordgoesoutdoors54 good stuff for the wild camp, hopefully it clears up for you guys. Is that in around the Brecon Beacons?
@@GeoffGreenawayOutdoors Just back so just seen your message. Breacon further south to where we were. County of Powys
@@brumlordgoesoutdoors54 excellent, I hope you’d had a great time ⛺️
Evening Geoffrey, just a wee question, are you up the Mournes tonight? If so cracking sunset
Hi Noel, unfortunately I wasn’t up in the Mournes last night, Stephen was down in Newcastle and I seen a few photos he took, it looked lovely.
Nice one matey
Cheers James. It was a good night to be out but paid for that early start on Friday as o slept most of the day when I got home 😂.
@GeoffGreenawayOutdoors yea that one is a great spot. I normally camp on the other side of the wall. Feels like ages since I've been out haha
@@jamesoutandaboutn.i227 I think that’s the side we had planned on but just used the wall as protection from the wind. I know the feeling, when you don’t get out a week you feel you’ve missed out. Anything planned the next few weeks?
@GeoffGreenawayOutdoors yea good idea mate. Got a few plans. Planning on Rams Island soon and thinking about setting car up to sleep in for a few hikes down south . Hopefully get some camps in donegal and wicklow too. Have you got much planned
@@jamesoutandaboutn.i227 not much planned now that the girls are off for the summer, maybe a few trips out with them. Play it by ear the next few weeks.
