Nice review. I got the blue one for myself, definitely one of the more interesting IEMs around and I like its uniqueness. But I do agree with you on the bass not being the best quality, it feels somewhat hollow imo hahah but other than that it’s great for its price.
Maybe in a hybrid setup with other drivers, like a dynamic driver or a couple of balanced armatures alongside a bone conduction driver, it could work. But as a standalone driver, it's tough, at least for now. In my experience, most bone conduction drivers perform well as supporting drivers, but they're not yet capable of providing great performance across the full frequency range on their own. Maybe we'll see that change in the future.
@@dalejail It really comes down to personal preference, and the Quintet certainly has potential. For me, though, the issue with the Quintet is its metallic timbre and a slight piezo "zing" in the treble. Otherwise, it's great. I'm not sure if the Plutus also uses a PZT bone conduction driver or just a regular bone conduction dirver.
It is beautiful
Indeed it is.

Thanks! I think the hollow feeling might come from the bone conduction driver. It's definitely a unique pair of IEMs!
do you think a studio reference sound will ever be possible with this bone conduction technology?

@@Atechreviews apparently the kiwi quintet also uses this, which seems to have been well received so far
