How you kept all that exhaustive, comparative data straight on twenty comparable IEM sets while remaining entertaining, succinct and useful is unbelievable. THANK YOU for all the effort you put into this for us enthusiasts. Amazing. Kudos. Well-done. You very much helped me make a purchase decision. Yes, I've tried to capture the differences between just TWO sets in way that helps me make sense of which might be 'better' for what purposes and it is darn difficult to do. Now if I can only get my closed captioning to work a little better on some of the words that I have difficulty hearing clearly. But seriously your work is just top stuff. I along with I'm sure many of your other subscribers watch you on a regular basis as well as some other people. But I love that you pick out the odd balls once in awhile and also how you split your reviews in to say two main parts,the review and the graphs, and you are honest. You'll say when something does not sound what the graph shows. Having been in this hobby for 40 years, I know from experience that you are a truth speaker. @@akros9333 I don't know what I would do without your input.. It's so valuable to have these very detailed comparisons and opinions. No one else does it this way, in such clear detail. Where I live, you can't try things anywhere. You must buy it to to try it. So I have missed a lot of duds listening to you..
Great video, Thanks! I think it's pretty amazing that the EA500 is so high on your picks. It's way more in my budget than the EA1000.

@@wahid-lg1kk I purchased both the 500 and the 500LM, both are fantastic to me. The LM's have morte sub bass and a bit more detail. They both have lots of tuning options with the extra nozzles and a tuning kit!

Great DD comparison. I agree with everything you said about the EA500, one of my favorite 1DDs ever. I will have to get the EA1000 eventually because I just loved the EA500 that much. Still interested in the Vortex as well and maybe The twilight someday. Shout out to the FiiO JD7 as well I liked it more than the Olina se though I still liked that one very much too. And original CRA + JVC FDX1 will always be in my collection, they're still very special despite being off the market now.
I have some of the IEM you mentioned...JD07 underrated....original CRA crazy good....Vortex ..... insanely good. Have said all this you need to get Fermat, it's a really incredible iem
I enjoyed this classification , in fact I wouild have loved to see them all being clustered. And maybe others in your audience as we have a couple of these. But i know its hard because it involves a lot of subtelties. Thanks for review and top 5 rank

Need help! Penon Fan 2 or EA 1000 ? I wasn't going to buy either, then got tempted with your review of the latter. But Penon FAn 2 (whose newsletter i subscribe to) are offering 50% discount on the Fan 2!! Any suggestions?! Initially, I was actually thinking of just one more IEM in a planar (Kiwi Ears Melody or the Timeless 2), suddenly now a discount and a great review is luring me to areas i don't want to venture to.. ha ha what a sick hobby this!
Fan2 at any price is warranted. I’m on the opposite end. I have the Fan 2 and wondering if I should purchase the EA1000. I already have the EA500 and I’m interested in the Kiwi Ears Melody as well for a planar set.

I've been waiting for this! Very compelling! I did a similar mod on my 500 but I just used the filters in the kit that Simgot offers direct on ali. Been on the fence about whether this is a worthy jump from the ea500, and I think I'll check them out! Great breakdown as usual.

Hello @Akros , can you talk a little about the combination of Questyle M15 + Topping nx7 ? Do you recommend the nx7 as a strong upgrade for the Questyle ? Thank you (you convinced me to buy the EA1000, by the way :D)
Since he wont reply to you i will instead...the topping nx7 is anolog which means it just amplifys the sound from your source and doesnt alter it in any way, now if you connect a dongle dac to your device then connect the 3.5 headphone out to the line in on the nx7, you have the sound signature of the dongle...all the nx7 does is make it louder...for iems this is overkill...unless you have planar headphones...its easier to get a dongle dac like the ibasso dc06 or ifi go bar..attach that to your device and you have tuns of power to drive any iem...the nx7 is useful for planars
Thank you Barry, you're right about the planars. But I also told myself that the output impedance of the nx7 being very low, the low impedance iems could benefit from this very clean amplification.
@@nlossec yes the nx7 is a very good choice then, but you allways have the option of adding a dongle to the nx7 if you want to change the sound, i.e add truthear shio if you want a warm sound, or just run your iems of the nx7 and have clean neutral sound

Will you review the Audio Ehhiku? It's a bit new but there hasn't been many notable reviews of it and it seems like it could be a strong competitor in $200 range.
I am not sure about it being new....it's been out a long time. As for being a contedor in the 200usd....well it's good but not good enough to be a problem for other 200us IEMs!
