Hey, Iraqi here :) Here's a quick run-thru of what the terms typically mean: ~ Shawarit beek: Jinx on you ~ Shaku Maku?: What's up, nothing? (follow-up: Maku shi: nothing's up) ~ Taah Hadhak: May you be down on your luck (basically) ~ Saarat Zahma: It's become busy/ an inconvenience (can be used either sarcastically and apologetically) ~ Klawchi (one of my favorite words): trickster ~ Umidaak/Uhumidaak: term used to emphasize someone's stupidity/idiocy in front of their face (that's honestly the best way i can translate it ¯\_(ツ)_/¯) Hope this helped, ya Jogeh :) Feemalah
Great video! Just one thing though, Sarat Zahmeh actually means something along the lines of "We put you out" or "we have inconvenienced you", sometimes you say zahamnak instead. Funny thing is I hear it used sarcastically like if someone does the bare minimum work/chore then you sarcastically say SARAT ZAHMEH(!) Like well done or don't do me any favours because it's something you should have done anyway/you did your job.
Ha ha ha!!!... Mohammed's laugh is sooo infectious! Couldn't stop laughing along all throughout the vid!... Anybody knows his IG or FB please? Just for research purposes... LOLS!... 😅
No, it has become a saart zahma which means, for example, when you ask someone to bring you a cup of water and bring you a saart والله بعد مااكدر افسر اكثر من هيج😂💔
Hey dude shaku maku actually supposed to be sh aku sh maku which would mean what's there what's not there which kind of makes sense to be translated to what's happening
Shaku maku = شكو ماكو = How is it going? Taah hathak = طاح حظك = I hope you waste your luck. Saarat zahma = صارت زحمة = I've bothered you (I understand it as 'Sorry for bothering you') Klowchi = كلاوجي = Twister (GB) Umidaak = امداك = Screw you _________ The first one is just an alien term I don't even use it
Shlonak, meaning 'whats up'. Also here in Israel we will say naal dinak or naal rabak, which means 'cursed is your faith' or 'cursed is you God', just like a way to say 'oh crap' when something upsetting happens. I heard this is Iraqi but not used anymore. Modern Arabic curses are more dirty, we use those as well.
Rafi Gassel it's enal or in Iraq sometimes they say it naal , Arabs say it with ع, Enعl the letter is not exist in English, Yes they say it where I'm from Arab countries in general say it, but it's not a good sentence only teenager say it with each other sometimes or when they fight. Because it's disrespectful to the people's faith and to God
@@Allinda. that's interesting. I know the word elan, as in 'elan il yahud in nasser il Islam', I didn't know it was related to enal. My wife's family is from Iraq, so the say naal dinak, if one of the kids throws a ball over the fence or spills food on the floor. We also have ع in our language, pronounced ayin, looks like ע in Hebrew.
Klowchi Mm that means Someone lies to you when you say to someone you prefer this 66 money and give it to me tomorrow and he comes tomorrow and gives you 43 money and you say to him give me the rest and he says to you you gave me this only
