I also hope they get more aggressive more often, as with these recent chases, whether they track him or actively chase him, every intersection he flies through is more risk in most cases than if they just smash him off the road and swarm him like an angry hive.

Also when suslwcts get brazen enough to drive at officers. Which reminds me of how departments should be upgrading their cruisers with devices that can counter those situations. The Bumper Grappler, Bumper Spike Strip, The RF Emitter, are just a few. Also it is possible to have highways equipped with light systems that will light up when chases are going onto that highway, to alert everyone to whats going on, even when the cruisers themselves cant keep up with the suspect, innocent drivers will be alerted to the suslect's presence, and will hopefully do the right thing and move off to one side, so no one gets hurt.

Wimpy police tactics support high crime rates. The car should have been stopped ASAP to stop the damage to the pavement from those metal rims at least. PIT then stuff a K9 through the driver's window to get the driver to exit if they stall. Police chiefs and mayors should always ask themselves, "How is this going to look on TH-cam?"

When the LAPD are involved, you know the pursuit is going to be a laughable display of incompetence, and a massive waste of resources, and time. Not to mention a huge waste of taxpayers' money.
Having watched literally hundreds of these pursuits all over the US - it's clear that most other police depts would have wound this up at the first opportunity. The LAPD seems incapable of making decisions. Perhaps they are trying to bore everyone to death. Or maybe the police get a thrill out of being on TV. "Look honey I'm on TV - that's me in the 14th pursuit vehicle".
The longer these pursuits are allowed to drag out, the greater the risk to the public - that's a statistical fact. People are far more likely to make mistakes and errors in judgement when tired.
Clearly, the LAPD needs some new decisive leadership.
